Boutique-bought clothes can have colors you can't get with dyes?

I bought my blue Chain Jacket, and bought 3 blue dyes for my Chain Pants. After I dyed my clothes, they are not the same color. A proof of it:

Here is the set when I am wearing it:

As you can see, it's not the same blue. Just today I saw someone who was wearing this one too, and it was exactly the same color. I am pretty sure that you can't get that color by dyes. What do you think? That doesn't bother me too much, but I wanna be able to sell these too. And if they don't match, I won't get too much.

different clothes come out differently with the dyes... just like in real life

that's what chain fashion looks like with the real blue dye

Let me actually answer your question...

Some fashion has the brightness/saturation turned down so the color (hue) that shows will be darker than the colors that are used to dye. The Duke Rose & Cheerleader set are also examples of this. Think of it as you are putting dye over gray not white.

Clothes bought from the boutique come in a random color. You can match the color using random pigments... in theory, but you'd have to be incredibly lucky to do so, because random pigments use a much wider palette than the hot color dyes.

Thanks everybody. I might sell my Jacket as a blue one, since it is technically one. But, we will see. BTW, how much that Jacket is worth? And what about the pants?

Yeah I think around that. Haven't seen any of those in blue tho. Might shout in WC to see how much they usually go IF I plan to sell them.

color dont really matter... doesnt alter the price much

unless its white/black/red... those go for at least twice the amount of other colors

Well, blue seems to be a bit more expensive than, say, something between green and brown b:laugh

No. XD I do, too, but I was afraid I was the only one. XD

The shades are close enough that I had trouble distinguishing a difference. =X
