Any body else havning issues PKing?

So I saw this random red name character and I could tell by the armor that I could take the person down. I get a bit closer the the person and try to throw a dagger at the person first and "click" nothing "click, click" nothing. I kept trying to throw different skills at the person and nothing happens. Mind you the person has no idea I'm TRYING to attack. I check my safety setting and it turns out that my safety was totally on. So its simply to turn all safety off and I do, once again trying to attack. Figuring I had fixed my issue I try throwing another dagger.... still nothing... I relog and my safety setting have reset.
Anyways, I'm white named, the person was obviously white named if her name was pink and I couldn't attack them by even pressing Ctrl when safety WAS on.... Any ideas why that's happening? >.< Yes I was outside of safezone.

all i can think is u were in a safezone, such as if u was at secret passage entrance, there is a safezone just where u teleport in, walk 2 meters forward and ur out the secure zone, so saying exactly where u were at will help more.

Up above I state that I had checked and double checked my PK setting. And according to the screen, I was out of Safe Zone. And if I was out of Safe Zone, then she was too, seeing as how she was several meters ahead of me...

If you are 100% sure your settings were set to be able to attack then there are two solutions and they have been mentioned before.

1. You were in fact still sitting in a Safe Zone. (this is my theory)
2. You have hit a glitch that is not normal. (possible but doubt it)

meep maybe it was lag? Thats what is sounds like takes ages and ages to cast skills even though you press them try attacking a mob and see if the same happens.

happens to me all the time. . tried pking a kid once. . lagged, then before i knew it, he pked me b:cry

I had somewhat of a similar problem. I was in secret passage and I saw a cleric in PK mode. I had went invis and had my PK mode on as well as my protections off. I kept clicking shadow teleport to stun her but it didn't go off. And I'm sure it wasn't lag because I had no problems before the patch. While I pressed my shadow teleport, the cleric ran off and I began to chase and was finally able to attack her.. And soon after, I was outside and this time the cleric attacked me.. I kept trying to use shadow teleport but it didn't do anything (yes it was cooled down already) So it might be some sort of glitch with the patch that skills aren't responding correctly..
