On January 28, 2010; at approximately 12:00pm Pacific time, something incredible happened: The Perfect World International Facebook Page achieved its 50,000th fan! To celebrate this momentous occasion, and to reward all of you for your dedication, we will be turning on 2x EXP, 2x Spirit, and 2x Drops for a solid two weeks!
I'm just wondering why I keep getting single item's while I am grinding. 2x drops should mean I get 2 instead of 1, right?
Or does 2x Drops mean 2x Drop Rates..?

It's 2x chance of an item dropping, not stacked item drop.0

last time it was double amount of drops, effectively doubling the chance of a drop.
However, you see mobs droping nothing all the time. So if said mob would have droped 0.5 item (rounded down to 0) before double drop, it would drop 1 item at double drop (I know, bad mathical example, but our drop calculation system thingy is to complex and I'm to lazy to explain it here)9 out of 10 voices in my head say I'm not crazy... the 10th is singing the music of tetris0 -
What I actually believe it does is doubles the number of drop "rolls". For example, normally a mob can drop 0-3 items, with X chance per item. Now it drops 0-3, twice, for a total of 0-6. This results in, on average, double drops, but naturally there's variation.0

I think it-s both double chance and double drops. So if normally a mob drops 0-3 items now you get that twice 0-3 and another roll of 0-3,which can be a max of six items(best i got so far from a butterfly i'm grinding on is 3 lethal venoms and 2 glaze) but you can also roll twice 0 and you'll end up with nothing anyway.Hope it's clearer and didn't make it even more confusing.0
