please remove the confirm button to drop items

Some people reported that when they were banking their items they accidentally dropped it onto the floor. Has happened to me a couple of times, and I guess this is the new safeguard for that.

What are you talking about? This is a feature almost all RPGs have. This should avoid people from dropping Capes of Underworld Slayers by accident.

I dropped my 2mil.. about last week? or w/e and now i have like 20K and broke as hell.. I refuse to buy gold because sense PWi ripped me off because when I bought my reset not it did not work.. (yea submitted a ticket). and now when I tell em that my 2mil went missing from my bank when I wanted to transfer 1.4mil, okay I might have dropped it BUT IT WASNT MY FAULT!! There BUGGED PROGRAM is the one to blame.. They told me that I wasnt missing any coins..
WTF PWi is soo messed up..
Im glad they have this confirm button up now, havent seen it yet sense my client wont update.. keep gettting error. but OMG! PWi are such liars.

The funny part is that they usually do ragequit after b:chuckle

PWI just don't want any trouble, so they build this in so that they can always say: you pressed the "Yes" button didn't you?, "player" : yes i did.

Optional would bring in the same problems as just not having it there, because 99% of the people will shut it off the second they can. So that's not a solution to the problem.

to ppl to actually drop something they have to put their mouse to the item which gives that description thingy if ppl still cant sell is a valuable item when they do that they are just fools.

This is hysterical, some players wants to have confirmation buttons for everything like the sorting button. You hit it and stuff gets sorted and you don't want it like that, and players complain about it like it is no end.

And then suddenly when we get a great thing which will makes it harder to drop things by mistake players complain that a confirmation button is added.
I feel pity for the PWI staff I mean they try to give the players stuff and the players just complain and complain. Also its a game if you want everything 100% your way, go make your own game!

it's no small accident. when you close inventory screen, there is a brief lag for some people when the game doesn't know this. so as they move their mouse around, they're actually dragging **** around and possibly onto the ground. it's not their fault, it got reported many times, and now PWI's decided to finally do something about it.

of course when they try to do something useful for once someone who has no idea what's going on has to ***** about it

PWE, despite their money grabbing nature, is doing something to try and make lives easier for the players. FOR NO COST. Come on people, give them a break. Some may not like the result, but give them credit for actually listening to players and doing something about it.

Sure, there are bugs that they've ignored and tried to cover up, but people need to quit being childish and stop searching for every little reason to trash talk the company.

Except that no one is really trash talking the company for this new feature. Just that some people didn't see a use (they made sure to keep watch over their inventory) or those who just want it optional (and assume the risks for having it off).

wow pwe is known for ripping people off cause they ripped me off i bought a $20 pre-paid card about 3 weeks ago and it dosnt work and i told them sent a ticket bother them and they said thye are "working on it" yes pwi dose rip people off i guess we just have to get use to there scamming ways

I find it funny that PW actually put something useful in the game and all people can do is find the negativity in it. I know a fair few amount of people who have, quite accidently thanks to broken mice and lag on the server's part, dropped items that were quite valuable to them.

Also, contrare to what you seem to think, OP, there was a bug that would cause players to drop an item and be unable to pick it back up. Much like if you squad drop something, any player outside that squad cannot pick it up until a timer has clicked - at which point it is fair game for anybody. I'm unsure if this has been fixed but I know many people were up in arms about the fact that this bug was present and was a potential disaster waiting to happen if somebody accidently dropped something. Because the bug meant even if they did realise, they couldn't always pick it back up.

It's always good to do your homework before you fire your mouth off, you know?

Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing it made optional. However, just because it annoys you, that is not true reason to remove it completely when so many other people are quite thankful for it. Frankly, I sort of am too, now there's no chance I can ever have an accident with my equipment.

Friend of mine inadvertently dropped her maxed aerogear while flying. She was messing around with her inventory, then accidentally clicked while moving the mouse to click on a new place to fly to. The click happened to land on her aerogear, and dragged it off the inventory dialog.

The aerogear dropped to the "ground" (floating in air really). And now being aerogear-less, she immediately fell to the ground, unable to go back up to pick it up. Fortunately, a nice guy saw this happen, picked up her aerogear, and returned it to her.

So overall I think it's good that PWI finally added this. But I agree with an option to turn it off for people who like to live dangerously. I suppose they drive without using a seatbelt, don't save their Word documents until they're finished writing, and skydive without a reserve chute too.

I personally think that this little feature has been one of the very few that PWE has added that actually benefit the playerbase as a whole without any serious drawbacks or profit prospects for PWE.

I have never dropped anything of value, but I'm sure many others have. This feature prevents that and future accidents; one day it might save you millions so if I were you I really wouldn't be complain about it.

I'm still trying to understand how this is even possible. If the dragged item was actually over the bank window, it will not drop to the ground. Period. So I'm guessing they didn't drag the cursor far enough to be over the window. Seems to me like they rushed to get something put away. In which case, don't be in such a hurry to bank stuff. Take your time and make certain they actually go in it.

Common sense... start using it, people.
