mmkmmmk quick question about mounts

don't mind the mmmmk's in the title i was just feeling it,

anyways, i see u can get horses for 20 gold lv 40

raptors and kirins for 15 gold lv 60

and spurs for lv 40's are 10 gold
spurs for lv 60's are 15 gold

so either way i come out to 30gold if i want a mount AND a spur for it, to reduce it to lv 20 (im re-rolling my char)

so what i wanna know is..... is there a benifit to getting either?

i noticed that raptors and kirins go faster, but then why are horses more, also why are they in eggs and the others are not?

and ummmmm yeah? any other tips would be nice
