Pigments help

Hello,
I am looking for some help concerning pigments, now I'm quite the noob when it comes to buying things from the cash shop however I am being very persnickity when it comes to what I buy from the shop. In this case I'm wanting to invest in some pigments for a fashion set I bought.

Is what I need help with comes in more in the form of a question so here it is.
Let's say I buy a hot colors pack, am I allowed to chose the pigment or does it just happen to be a random color? If it does happen to be a random color how can I come across some white pigment?

I realize I can buy it from the auction NPC's, however from what I can see it turns out they are rather expensive. Any help on this matter would be quite helpful, thanks to anyone who reads this, and to anyone who gives me some input.

    A random, but specifc, color comes from the hot pack. This is in contrast to the "random pigment" which is an undetermined color until you actually use it.

    So, I buy a hot color pack. I get blue. I buy another. I get green. Etc....

    This is the reason white/black are expensive. Every body wants those colors, but there is no way to specifically get it from the dye pack.

    So either buy white from a player, buy hot packs until you get enough white, or gamble with random dye. In my experience, I've had a LOT of *luck* (being the operative word) with random dyes.

    Oh wow, okay thanks.
    So basically you need 30$ or so to just get the type of dye you want.
    That's a rather sly way to make a quick buck.
