Major Npc distance / Mob bug

LOTS of NPC's and Mobs don't appear till i'm practically walking on them and I don't know why. I have the distance setting in system settings turned full to the right. And i have the proxy stuff unchecked. This is killing me!

    Have you tried setting distance to a middle setting?
    Only guessing here but you might be overworking gpu with maxed setting.
    It is better to remain silent and be thought the fool then to open your mouth and remove all doubt.
