Embrace Freeze

This has happened one too many times for it too not be a widespread glitch. When I pick up a girl and take them somewhere, they tell me to pick them up. I tell them I carrying them, and they say they are on the ground and can't move. When I set them down it goes back to normal for them, but I experience no problems myself. What's going on?

NOTE: This was not a result of the latest patch. It happened yesterday and the day before.
