lag: help requested with xp

i am having a bit of a problem between my laptop and my cpu when i play PWI. when playing on my cpu window xp i bring up task manager and it reads that elementclient.exe is roughly around 13000k-14000k. and on this laptop which is a vista i can get up to 40000k-50000k. both run on cable internet.b:cry is there something wrong with my xp which lags like ****ing crazy and vista lag free or is there something wrong internally such as a hard-drive problem. please list any solutions or related issues pertaining to this topic. thnx b:bye

That is hard to say without reading over your dxdiags for both systems.

Make sure that you rename the log files different like "xp" and "vista".

My xp doesn't read:
Primary Disk Drive
Secondary Drive 0

Should I get an external hard drive like my cousin did? Or is there a less expensive way.
