So this skill takes a percentage of a mobs health off and makes its lowered health its max. Can someone take a SS of a bosses health before and after sharptooth useage.

    So basically, on a boss with a max HP of 5 million, casting a lvl 6 STA on it (10% debuff) would be like shooting it once and doing 500k dmg?

    Something about this skill has always puzzled mee

    Also, since it's a debuff, it does not add aggro to the Archer.

    When you shoot, you reduce its maximum health and if it had not taken any damage yet, you have eliminated 500k of its health. And then your sharpened tooth arrow does damage.

    But that does draw some aggro, so usually you are also eliminating some maximum health that corresponds to damage which was already delivered by your tank, and you do not really do a full 500k.

    So, if you were in a party with high level people and they did 250k damage before your sharpened tooth arrow hit, you would only have eliminated 250k health from it...

    Except for you fire STA right off the bat at the beginning of the fight, then either wait for tank to get aggro or continue to fire. At this level it's second nature for an archer to do that. Not many tanks do THAT much damage in the few seconds it takes you to react and fire it off.

    If your party has used enough damage amplification, and has enough damage dealers, a BH boss could easily lose 20% of its health in fifteen seconds.

    I'll agree with that, IF it misses, of course. But I don't think it's impressiveness can be undermined by the fact that it has the possibility of missing. Especially given an archer's fantastic accuracy rating to begin with, then you have the factor that there may be more than one archer in the squad. And knocking off only half of that 500k damage in one shot is still decent, not necessarily invaluable but once you get into the scenario of HH and world bosses that skill comes in really handy and gives archers a reason to be squadded b:dirty
