    =( I use Puncture..
I rarely use it on normal mobs, but I do use it on elites and bosses. I'm not sure why but the bleeding did damage ranging from 906 or so to 1000+ per tick on Vastclaw Executioner. Not too bad, and any extra damage helps for PQ contrib.

As for the person who asked about AOEs -- if you plan to do public quest, level your AOEs. You get the best contribution that way. And focused mind, if you have enough spirit/coins - helps a TON when you steal aggro, or if you want to solo AOE the stage one mobs.

...nobody said anything about skill spamming. I simply stated that I'd be wasting 2 seconds on casting this crappy skill for an average total damage of less than 7k. Instead I could be meleeing the same mob, hitting it 3 times in 2.1 seconds for over 8k total damage on average.

Usually, if you have Chill of the Deep at all, you're better off skill spamming because of the decreased attack speed.
I'm simply saying adding a variable in your experiment (Originally Puncture Wound versus no Puncture Wound, changed to Puncture Wound + Chill of the Deep versus no Puncture Wound) makes it, well... somewhat unreliable.

Puncture is an awesome skill at low levels.

    In fact, I maxed it.

But unfortunately, you can't quite rely on it when you get to higher levels. I could easily Crit a 80ish Barb with a Lv 6 Headhunt ( w/ Max Chill of the Dephts ) for about 2.1k. Puncture Wound on the same barb however, does a miserable 92 dmg per 3 seconds.

Like what some of the guys above mentioned, each of the 3 bleeding damage received over the 9 seconds get reduced by phy def. Technically, that means your Puncture Wound's original potential is weakened by 3 times.

What else are you going to do, Puncture - Melee without chill? That would lower the damage done by puncture even more, making it even less useful.
Wondering how much longer these **** packs are going to be around.

I'm just saying, you're throwing in random things that you don't originally intend to test.

I intended on comparing the maximum usefulness Puncture could give me to simply meleeing. What is there not to get? I proved Puncture Wound is nearly useless with simple numbers.
