Pet Skill Tough

I tamed a pet and it came with the skill Tough . When i right click it , it doesnt seem to do anything . At lvl 2 its description is:

Tough Lvl 2
Maximun skill lvl 5
Cooldown 60 seconds
Reduce damage taken by 35% for 15 seconds

When i right click it , it doesnt seem to do anything . (i.e i tried both whilst fighting mob and also whilst inactive) the skill picture does not seem to activate and it does not go into cooldown. My question is.. Is this a Passive skill , Is this skill bugged , Should I remove this Skill and replace?? Why does it not seem to show its being used or activated at all??

    Have you ever tried left clicking it? Im not sure, never placed a buff skill on auto-cast before.

    Um - yes, left click to activate. If the pet has already been sent to attack then it will activate it after its first swing/skill use, if the pet is idle then it will activate immediately.

    Must say, I also have not tried it on autocast.

    from what i've tried before, none of the self buffs work on auto cast
    the boost (self heal) from bunny doesnt work, tough also doesnt work... herc/nix self buffs dont autocast
    you have to click them

    EDIT again : ty tried Left Click it worked . ty all , im new to veno's enjoying it heaps so far :)
