Sometimes I get 5 clerics in a squad with me being the only non-cleric.
I think most clerics are probably called by their buddies for inner circle BH's.

From experience I cant tell you that me, and most clerics I know, are a lot more picky on who we squad with nowadays. Myself, Ill squad with a few select people that I know that with them and me, can get the job done regardless of the other potential idiots we might have to work with. My cleric friends are very similar in their methods. I got no problem burning mana pots like crazy, but the tank better know how to tank and the DD better know how to DD and the squad better know how to not aggro 30 mobs that they can't survive while under the effect of Ironheart or BB.
If you would please, allow me to interject with an interjection into your conversation which requires, an interjecting. For if I'm to understand correctly and correctly understand the present situation, which I may or may not understand correctly, then it seems that you all don't make sense at all.

Well, I'm guessing they've gone the way I have: Not going into a squad unless the person happens to be in their faction or friend list. I occasionally go into outside squads, but as a result, I have a list of people I will never squad with again due whether due to their pure incompetency, possible superiority complexes, or they just cause fail squads by just being there(don't ask, some people have a knack for attracting fail squads a little -too- well). Sadly, an entire faction had somehow made it on my list.

I have a cleric that I've recently begun to start playing again (Level 77) and I try to find a GOOD squad all the time.
I've begun just finding faction mates or friends that need it as well, that way, I don't have a fail squad that will get us all killed.

^ This right here is the reason. Oracles, mass bh exp etc. have lead to even 80+ knowing nothing about agro management , assist attack on multiple mobs on the Tank , (and as what happened repeatedly last night) people who dont know not to shoot at the mob as its in the process of being lured - hence causing all mobs to come.

Im getting sick and tired of it b:angry

I join randoms sometimes with my cleric out of necessity, but I have had so many bad experiences that I try to go with people I know if I possibly can.

So many people think that they can run into a group and attack one thing, not aggroing the rest, and this leaves the cleric with two options: 1. Heal, and then generally die as everything not aggroed comes after you. 2. Stand there and watch the attacker die, then get yelled at for letting them die. Neither are fun options and I hit that situation far too often in random squads. In squads where everyone runs off and attacks stuff clerics go through MP like crazy trying to keep all alive.

So basically what I want with my cleric is a calm, orderly squad that knows what they are doing so that I am not overworked/yelled at/wasting MP pots. Which makes it always easier and safer to go with people you know.

Well, there is the third option - heal and depend on other members of your squad to know they need to pick up the agro from the extra mobs. That is what is supposed to happen when somebody makes a mistake (which can happen even without stupidity - who hasn't occasionally failed to sneak past something). Of course, that is just another argument for working with people you know and tust.

I hate randoms. Especially with my cleric (paliden). The squad always fails to find another squad and rushes off to the instance to go die despite every warning.

And I wouldn't mind really if they were a bit nicer. I have mostly bh59 atm and I can and have many times solo healed for regular mobs and solo healed a good arcane tank on all fb59 bosses. Drake and glutt are particularly easy, the rest require spam stream and guzzle charm. But will a squad let an arcane tank? Hell no. Arcane flat out refuses and/or panics and hides and barb charges in with ream and the BM's go all out and next thing you get a "WTF heal biotch....zomg we died. Quit game now u lozer!!!". Also squads today make no attempt to stay alive in bh. Pulling mobs seems alien to them, and the entire squad will crowd around boomers and get blown to shreds, then run out of squad heal range immediately.

**** them. Seriously. If I was a real cleric I'd avoid random at any cost tbh ^^

well you know what if the clerics are sick of fail squads and dont want to squad with randoms then maybe all classes should go on strike and there will be no more bh squad!

and another thing, this is a solo based game people so do you really expect squads to be perfect?

I was in a party with 4 squishy players (random squad), and the tank was a lv64 veno's herc.

Of course, we had a party wipe at Rankar (well, close to one), and only the veno survived (I didn't mind going to town because I just leveled).

Now, the situation was that the veno was able to stay out of Rankar's aoe range and simply hold aggro with the herc while I ran back into the dungeon to res everyone.

Please, if you have a herc, at least know how to use it. This veno did not know how to put her pet on manual and then halt it so that Rankar wouldn't die before I could get my **** back to the people (slow cleric is slow). I have a lv78 veno and was trying to walk her through on how to stop killing Rankar while staying alive.

Now this wasn't an "entirely fail" squad... just an example of why I simply don't like putting up with random BH squads as a cleric.

I thought about that many times on my cleric. But the thing is, with gold the way it is, I do believe a cleric will spend more per run than a barb's repairs. The clerics save your charm so you don't have to worry about getting a new one. I remember doing TT runs and depending on the run, I could use a quarter of a gold mp charm.

Yeah, very serious. That's the issue with just mass-leveling your avatar or pet. You don't know how to use them at these higher levels, apparently... or at all, whichever may be the case.

And yeah, I totally agree with Dark Seph (He said BH squads don't worry about staying alive). It's like some players build non tanking-classes as a tank and then use them to steal aggro or be the main tank. If that's what you want your purpose to be, then make a damn barbarian!!

I find it very easy to just BB on lv60 mp pots. Every 10 seconds, the pot gives you 1k+ mana, and every 5 seconds, you loose 500 mana for BB, so just keep clicking the pot after each cooldown and your BB will never end... unless you run out of pots xP

Why do barbs always QQ about repair costs, but when BM's tank they don't should be another question.

Seriously, even tanking a full bh69 is like 10-15k repair for me with a good squad. I call bs on this high repair bill rubbish. All melee classes have this problem. Suck it up, honestly.
