Things that make you go "hmmm"...

So over the course of the last year, I've seen some funny situations arise in the various parties I've been in. So here's what I'm wondering...what moments have you had where you've lmao'd or said, "Hmm...that's interesting"?

Here's mine:

I love doing bh59 with my cleric, cuz i can tank all the bosses. It's something i enjoy doing, so i always laugh when people get all worried when i volunteer to tank when our squad doesn't have a barb. I especially love tanking Ofotis, as he's wood based, and i have no chance of losing aggro. b:sin

I do the same with Fushma. freaks people out when I go to hold him with my shaodu (my veno, obviously) while they finish clearing the room (mind you I CAN tank him, but I rarely do)

i went afk and i some how died in town near arch gates even tho i was not in PK mode and im on a pvE server. i found a few other afk dead ppl near me to so all i could say was "wtf happened..."

also the lvl 2x mobs there was no where near me and they dont aggro so... ya still currious to know wtf happened ;-;

I can probably clarify what happened to you as I've seen it happen on LC several times. Someone probably lured a boss such as Jewelscalen either knowingly or unknowingly and you were probably killed by such and such mobs AoE or something of that nature.

Robes are the best tank for fb59 bosses.

I mostly laugh when people re-ask "YOU will tank not your HERC?" (same old fb59) or "You can kill it?" (FC's Adawolf for example), or "It is possible to do it?" (after some of my random ideas)

"Hmm.. interesting" moments from me:
- seeing lvl18 axe veno near Sanctuary. Someone took her there and forgot to take back. Called some nearby male friend to take her to safe place.
- lvl50+ fist cleric
- Interesting squad formations

convincing a friend to come to the land of buried bones.... before he had a flying mount and getting him stuck in the middle of a groupe of lvl 100+ mobs...... and watching him try to sneek/run past on his panther b:chuckle i though it was funny he did not

when I was going for a shaodu at around level 20, and I didn't have a ride up there, I would walk through the level 50 mobs, to say the least, dieing alot wasn't fun

People laugh when they hear me say I can tank all fb bosses upto and including fb79s trio, with the exception of Polearm.

They aren't laughing afterwards, archer squad + bm + cleric is by far the fastest way to kill fb bosses, try it you'll see b:laugh

ran a fb59 on my cleric at 78 where other than the tabber i was the lowest lvl. we had no barb but that was ok we had a lvl 90 wiz to tank with 8x archer, psy, etc to DD should've made for a fast run (aggro nightmare lol but it was no big deal) till one of the DD's stole aggro and ofotis moved, wiz stole aggro back but now ofotis was in melee range of the wiz. I held down IH and threw in a couple wellspring to give IH a chance to catch up. kept him alive for abt 10 seconds with ofotis pounding on him but the wiz still died. He got upset because I "let" him die and he said it should have been no big and that he can tank him when the boss melees...

he then refused to tank anymore and a lxl 82 psy tanked the rest.

some time ago i was in squad with some girl and her two in-rl boyfriends (polyamory)

they all were pretty laid back and 'open' bout things, so squad was one of those fun ones. girl was rly cool in convo and at some point we start to flirt a bit. then those two guys kinda lost their good mood and i think they didnt like me after that run

it was 'fun' and 'hmm' in same time

You probably pulled the Cynnair Spectre mini-boss, from near Sanctuary. It is a level 45 mini-boss that flies very fast. It has been known to follow people all the way to 1k Streams (afk flying), and then kill them when they stop at the Vol. 30 for the World Quest.

As for me... well there's that.

- The fact that no matter what class I play in TT, I'll generally be the last one to choose. Cleric, veno, BM... have a hard time getting what I need (except today, that went really well).
- People who believe I can't tank, that archers/wizzies/clerics/venos/etc. can't tank either, no matter what their build, level or which boss is being killed...
- Comparing the MP I'm using between the BM and the cleric. I've been contemplating that for a while...
- When I hear clerics raging at venos for brambling them in FBs. HELLO??? I've never taken aggro on my cleric because I got brambled!? That's probably because I don't heal the tank before he has aggro on all mobs, but that may be me... >_>.

how does a cleric have a hard time chosing...?
lol theres a diference between a heavy user with 5k+ hp and a squishy arcane wiz xD
well eitehr u were in squads with good tanks in squads or u havent reached a higher lvl

Cynnair Spectres don't remain aggroed for that long. They generally leave me alone long before I even hit Foreigner over by Sanctuary. My guess is that someone lured a WB.

When party decides to hand out mats by level and I'm on a low-level cleric, or by typical tank > cleric > DD by level when I'm on my BM.

Yeah but some bosses are still best tanked by magic users. FB59? Mantavip? Even a LA user CAN pull it off (the 59 anyways). You don't always, always need a barb to tank stuff.

Okay. I'm basing off the fact you're talking on a 77, and I'm on a 89. I'm technically higher level - I don't know if you've went beyond that. In general, I'm my own tank and my own cleric, I own two computers and two accounts. I'm not dumb enough to heal while I'm aggroing, I'mma get everything on my butt and will die pretty damn fast. Maybe it does a difference when you RUSH through stuff like some TT parts, but I can assure you that Brambles by itself does not automatically pull aggro as some people think.

with +3 wings you can lose them, but with +2 and less wings they'll follow you forever. you'd need to fly to high altitude and drop to lose them

I had a fun time in bh79 the other day, we wined it, and rushed to Linus and Brigand, and only then did we realize that our squad looked like:

Blademaster
Wizard

So we are like.. shoot, what do we do on the bosses?

We had one person lure with their genie, then one Barb catches with Devour, and then everyone Triple Sparks at the same time while the Blademaster Dragons the boss. Omg, the thing died so fast, it was funny.

I had a fun time helping some people out with a level 29 fb. Only it wasn't exactly so much fun when I realized this was our lineup:

Psychic
Psychic
Cleric
Blademaster
Archer

No, I didn't hesitate to say, "Why didn't you get a tank?!" even though they ignored that question. We had to retreat twice, then finally got the blademaster to tank and the cleric to heal him like crazy. This isn't the first time I've been in a squad like this. Oh, and one of the psychics didn't check to see how durable his weapon was and it broke way before we got to the boss.

If I hadn't had my old green ball on me at the time, he would've been screwed.

Thing that makes me go hmm: Why do people always forget tanks and venos on FBs? It helps you and your friends die less.

My hmmm? I was coming in the south gate at Archo when Kimsa shows up pulled by someone flying. There are a BM there, about my level and we managed to kill it before anything bad happened. What made me go hmmm was how did it get there? Did it swim across the river between South Archo and Stairway to Heaven? Hmmmm.... Or did I miss a land bridge?
