ok theres probably a post in here abou thtis already but im to lazy to look for it. It seems to me that sins are at a huuuugggee disadvantage when fighting HAs. for all the other classes 1v1 usually depends on the skill of the the player. so a good wiz can beat a bm a good bm can beat a wiz and so on and so forth with all the classes but i have not been able t kill a a barb yet unless they are several lvls below me. and jus to clear it up i am not an "oracle noob" and ive been pkin since i hit 30 with the sin. i have been able to fight all classes except bms and barbs on pretty much equal footing but i cnt damage a barb or bm enough to kill them beofre i die even with deaden nerves, and stunlocking i usually have to stealth or jus flat out run. any advice? *flame protection on*
is it jus me or does every thread turn into a flame thread at some point? wheres the love?? b:cry
WTF is a gank? -_- its called pvp

i agree that no class is perfect but pittin a LA against a HA without any noticable advantages is frustrating

a sin can stunlock BETTER than a BM on a single target. look at the skills and figure it out. also with chill of the deep (good for pvp if you're not interval gear stacked) you will still hit them pretty damn hard

a barb later not easy to other class to in 1vs1 if barb got 25k+hp but he lose the most of hiero in pk. i cant beat every class (about hieroless abrb is pretty easy but hiero its a damn thing) [hiero=charm]

My thoughts exactly. Get a nice dex-build genie, get Thunderstorm or Bramble Rage and drop it on them when their HP is just above half.

Can make heavies run with triple spark.. if they stay they'll get murdered. Just make sure you don't activate the junk known as Chill of the Deep.

And lol at mentioning mages. 14k pdef is nice and all, but only when full buffed. And even then they generally only have 6k HP self buffed... not 9-11k like BMs do.
Wondering how much longer these **** packs are going to be around.

i decided to sit around etherblade dualing anyone and everyone nearby, usually the level difference was huge lol, i ***** little lvl 20s, got ***** by lvl 80's (i'm lvl 50) ((well not anymore, but i was when this story took place))

but in the time fighting i managed to kill a lvl 70 mage, was very close as he almost 1 shot me (thank god for revive skill) we ended up dueling again and he did 2 shot me

i did kill a lvl 57 (7 lvls higher than me) barb tho :D was pretty happy, took a while but he coudln't hit me and i just whittled him down... he was only lvl 57 so he prolly wasn't the best player, and it was just a duel so no charm stuff but i won!!! >:O

Barbs are probably one of the easier classes for a sin to duel. Because, like you said, they lack quite a bit of accuracy. However, when you get them into PK mode with a charm, they're all but impossible to kill solo. >.>

i'm not gonna spoon feed everyone. go take a look at the skills. come back. tell me what you feel it is and i'll let you know if you're close.

Well from what I can tell, they have many skills that interrupts attacks/movement but only 2 stuns that don't even come close to the length of BM's. With sleep, seal, immobilize etc, you can interrupt continuous bashing, but it won't have the same effect as a well executed BM stunlock. Your target can still run out of range while sealed or hit you while immobilized, while they can't do anything in a stunlock. You can easily lock your target with BM for 24 to 30 seconds with them not able to do a single thing and up to more than a minute if you have chi pots and were lucky with Aeolian. Sins have nice effects on many skills, but I wouldn't go as far as say they can stunlock better than a BM.

There's a difference between stuns, sleeps, and silences. No, a Sin can't stunlock better than an Axe BM (especially not a demon BM).

Even while Shadow Escaping in PvP, you're still targeted.... So as long as we still have you in our sights, we can still hit you.

The only time Shadow Escape won't break your targeting is on 2 occasions

    1. Your awareness level (character level) is higher than the sins stealth level (character level + Shadow Escape level + Cat like tread level)
    2. You're in squad with said assassin

There might be more, but I just got up and can't think properly. b:tired

lmao fail attempt at covering up that you have no idea what you're talking about.

Only "stuns" a sin has EG Deep Sting, Throatcut, Headhunt and Shadow Teleport all require chi + have moderate or long cooldowns. After a sin has used up maybe 15 seconds worth of stunning etc they're pretty much done for a while; either because most skills will be on cooldown or because of a lack of chi. Doesn't even compare to a BM that can keep someone stunned for 15 seconds without needing half as much chi, and depending on luck that duration is going to double or even more.

Go play troll elsewhere or just shut up.

If you can still target a Sin after they stealth, then their stealth level is lower than your awareness level. You'll know when it's above your awareness level, because they'll blink out of existence, right in front of you. Really annoying when you're about to kill one and they do that, heh.
