So, are oracles a cost-effective way to gain spirit? (EXP can be used to level my genie, then I can level the normal way again)

It is sad looking at all the skills I cannot learn due to lack of spirit b:angry

most cost effective way = grind/quest....
it be free minus repair cost and a few potion costs (meditation for the win lol)

oracles = sort of expensive way to get spirit/exp fast.

You will always have lack of spirit. If you oracle for spirit you will more than likely level enough, youll go to upgrade skills and find you can upgrade it more than once [repeat process] Get used to the lack of spirit b:cry

I wouldn't advise using oracles to get spirit, you will have a mass shortage of spirit from around level 40-70 generally and then it becomes reversed (too much spirit not enough coin). As it stands i currently have 6.2m collecting dust and that is nothing compared to some people. Best way for you to get spirit is just quest and grind and it will slowly pick up, after level 70 you get more spirit and such from daily quests aswell as a new daily (World Quest) so spirit isn't a problem any longer.

I won't make a comment about how you level and degrade oracles as that belongs elsewhere.

The "normal" rate of spirit is 5exp to 1spirit point.

If you get more than that ratio in favor of spirit, you pull ahead than if you normally would level.

Regardless though, you will have a shortage in spirit for the first 60 levels or so (unless you spirit farm via genies which is not recommended). You feel less strain as you level in the spirit department.

Run Snake isle once you hit level 40.

Three laps = 5k exp, 1k spirit, and a badge of speed for an extra 2k spirit (or 22k spirit once you get ten and combine them into a sign of speed). Only takes a few minutes to do and it's completely free.

I did this from lvl 20-50 and have never regretted it. I made lots and lots of money off of lvld genies too! I also could take on even archers 5-10 lvls ahead of me and win. They was always like wth? I had all my skills available at those lvls.

It wasn't about the spirit as much as it was about building rep as well. Doing 1 man army quests and overall just enjoying playing the game and farming. You will also have way more money by doing this. Especially if you farm items like hay, banker quest items, element fragments, dull claws etc...

I had millions by the time I was level 25. There are benefits to "farming spirit" other than just getting the extra spirit. It goes with your style of game play and what you want out of the game. At times it also made it to where friends I had out leveled could catch me. Win/win for me.

This is why I have almost every class lol. I get bored with it and move to another character to play for a little bit. My sin has been stuck at lvl 49 for over a week. I could have lvld around 10 times now. But I am enjoying farming ... shhhh (leather) ;). Its worth loads of coins and I am also waiting for a friend to catch up to me. He is currently lvl 34. He gets around 3 lvls a day.

Just don't focus too much on the one you are trying to take it slow with!

genies can be lvld with exp too you know.. and those sage skills are gonna cost 1mil-1.5mil spirit each.

Of course. But experience is for me much more valuable. And I don't have sage book every week.

It's true... I will only have very little spirit left over after I reach 99 and learn all my skills minus the 2 100 skills.

I have spent less than 1mil spirit on a genie in the past and the rest have only been used on manufacturing skills (all up to date with my level i.e 7) and all but 5 demon skills. I also do not have 2 skills maxed out and I am nearing 97.

This means if anyone has the ability to learn almost every book in their class at the sage/demon level, you will not have "spare" spirit until 97+, 99 to be more realistic. b:surrender

I think the answer to your question is No, Oracles are not a good way to acquire spirit.
I suggest running the races once you hit Lv.40, however they only occur at certain times and depending on your TimeZone you may have difficulty completing them.
Though I'm only level 63 currently, I plan to stay at 8X for a while and get my skills up to date.

You will, in most cases, be lacking in spirit til later levels. Oracles do not mitigate this because they give you a crapload more xp than spirit, and you'll find yourself leveling, needing more skills to upgrade, and STILL lacking in spirit. There items that you can get that specifically give you more spirit, but neither oracles nor these are "cost-effective". The most cost effective thing to do is your daily quests, grind, other quests, and so on, and be more nitpicking or "specializing" in earlier levels what skills you take.

You could try my method. I've been at level 44 for about two weeks with this.

If your genie is a low level (It quite possibly is, seeing as they only get 10% of the exp from our quests), simply use the new BH system. When you get done with your BH, funnel the exp into the Genie, and keep the Spirit for yourself. This way, you stop yourself from leveling and increasing the deficit of spirit. Plus, your Genie becomes stronger the longer you do it (That is, until it hits your level).

My main reason for doing this? I oracled from 38 to 44 just to aquire certain skills. I keep funneling my exp into my genie because I want to catch up on my quests. Simple, no?

    Its only a suggestion.
