just starting...suggestions on server choice?

i'm just about to start playing pw, and i was hoping to get some advice on which server to choose.

as a first timer, i think i should avoid the pvp servers (obviously). i'll be starting as a venomancer, and while i've read that that class is the least liked, it'd be nice to find a server with a good community and a minimal amount of shenanigans. b:chuckle

also, do any of the servers seem to have more problems than the others? as in unexpected downtime, glitches, etc.

any input would be appreciated.

    Raging Tide is the newest PvE server...about 1 month old. So level wise you will not be all that far behind.

    As a starter server i would warmly suggest some older and stable server's such as Heavens Tear and Sanctuary.

    But if you are looking for more peeps your level, what Rose said is your best option b:victory

    Choose you server carefully - PvP vs PvE for example. I don't really care for PvP but it does add a little risk to the game.

    But then again - PvP isn't something you have to worry about till level 30 and each server is isolated so go with what you want, knowing you can start over relatively easy :)

    i went ahead with rising tide, since it was the first reply and i was in a hurry to get playing!

    thanks for the input, though.

    i DO have one more question, and rather than clutter up the forum... (i really searched around for an answer to it, btw)

    the intereface is a little tough to get used to, but i'm slowly getting the hang of it. one problem: when i first logged in, i'm pretty sure that using the home/end/pg up/pg down keys moved the camera around by themselves. but now it seems that they'll only work when i hit F9 to pull up the menu first. did i accidentally change some settings without realizing it, or am i mistaken?

    how do i fix this? i'd like to move the camera around without having to pull up that menu every time.

    The best server is always the one with lowest ping andpvp or pve depending on your preference.

    A new server that's located on the other side of the world will only harm you in the long run.

    If you do pick a server that's on the other side of the world, don't be like the people I see in world chat every day complaining about lag with messages like OMG LAAAAAAAG. Because you are the only one lagging, we're fine because we chose the server with lowest ping.

    Camera: Right click and drag.
