whats the class that doesnt die so fast
ive played cleric, sin, and ven
cleric and sin die almost all the time. gotta sit between every mob
ven is below lvl 20 so its near impossible to die

im thinking about making a bm.
barb dont die but he dont kill either, so he sort of makes up for his extra hp by taking more hits anyways.

i think bm is the least squishy class. any opinions?

Barbarian be the least squishiest class.
as for damage me know a few barbs that disagree.

the few barbs that disagree have decid claws and demons spark. BM is a good choice for a starter character that isnt squishy. ..Though with your pet on your veno you dont really get hit by animals so it really isnt a problem later on

Even tho cleric is squishy, it's 2nd best solo class after a veno. So idk why you are having trouble....

I'm gonna take a rough guess as to why their having trouble - they've hit a wall round about level 10-15.

You don't have decent heals OR decent attacks yet, and monsters are starting to tear through your armour. Oh, and probably not realised IHB stacks.

HATE trying to solo a cleric through those early levels.

Anyway - yes, barbs (especially barbs that make life powder) survvie pretty much anything at the early levels.
Veno's survive pretty much nothing, but have lots of tricks (such as a pet) to make sure that nothing ever hits them.

BMs are pretty unsquishy too, and in general hit harder than barbs.

in terms of squishy it all changes as you level...and its also part of the game mechanics

Barbarian -> not squishy and is tank takes damage for others and makes mobs attack him/weak in damage compared to other class until 90+

Blademaster -> not as squishy as caster class not as un squishy as barb

( caster classes will always be squishy due to there damage output)

assasin -> my guess would be there same as BM in squishyness

Assassins are pretty squishy (squishier than BMs, not as squishy as arcane-clad casters, thanks to light armor) but have high damage output (and bloodpaint, to recover some HP) to make up for it.

Try a light armor cleric (yeah, I roll one and im biased, but so what). Self-heals, strong magic + physical attack (Plume Shot ftw!), sought after in groups for team heals and buffs, and resilient enough to tackle even tougher opponents single handedly.

I won't deny that I've found the class to be an absolute joy to play and a challenge to master. Theres a strong satisfaction with a job well done which you don't often get with other classes and the responsibility of being one of the most important members of a group makes you strive to do your absolute best.

Equip Light Armor, slot/refine for HP and you end up with a strong cleric capable of taking hits and dishing them out. Throw in heals, whisk for twenty minutes then bake until golden brown.

whats the class that doesnt die so fast...

I'm just gonna go with this one for your definition of "squishy".
Barb is best at taking physical damage, but many or most mobs at higher levels have magical attacks.
Any arcane class will be able to take alot more magical damage.

Above level 60 is where most classes really come into their own.

With the stacking effect of Ironheart Blessing, the 60% mag/phys defense buffs, and aoe spells with both physical and metal damages, by level 70 I could kill most mobs faster than a veno with herc. Add to that the ability to purify away debuffs, poison, bleed, and other effects and the ability to add 80% phys resist at need (not to mention the 79+ and demon/sage skills) and clerics become very hard to kill indeed.
As far as PvP... the only class that can one shot me is wizard, and only demon/sage Black Ice Dragon or Blade Tempest can do that so that is around 10 lvls higher.

I also play a 7x barb, so I have some basis for comparison. My barb is more party dependent (tank build). More than one magical mob at a time is very hard to control, soloing without a charm and/or tons of apoths/pots/food is more difficult. It takes longer to kill things, so they have more time to hit you and spawn around you.

My cleric gets the most calls for rezzes from bm's and archers, if that is any indication of squishiness...

Assassin is a good class to start with - Soloing I deal a lot of damage and haven;t had a hard time getting a level advantage when dealing with quests.

Assassin is just like the bm to start out with. U can basically only survive long if u got pots to back u up. Clerics prob be better u get mp pots and a few hp pots too, but clerics use heaps of mp. Veno is the best solo class, if u got a good pet to attack for u, venos rarely get hit.
