    Botting is against the rules. Just as mentioning other games on the forums, and mentioning player's names on the forums. People might think the rules pointless, but, they're there... and we have to deal with them. And yes, botters do suck enjoyment outta the game for others... as a few other players and eatwithspoons has already said.

    Also, allowing botting would be allowing third party programs... which can lead to a whole host of other problems.

    Aside from that... those that are 'reporting' people like Hamsta... next time I'm in an area taking screenies, or just aimlessly flying around, I'll be sure to laugh when you report me. Saying that someone swinging by places (while doing WQ or whatever) is messing with your enjoyment in any way is, quite frankly, stupid. Does it suddenly make it better if I suspect you of botting while I'm questing there instead of wandering around? Or is me getting into your business at all an offense to you, whether you're breaking the rules or not?

    No, it really is botting. You set it up and your character kills monsters, uses skills, uses hp/mp pots and picks up drops when you are afk. They don't call it botting though they call it "Invorgating"

    I recently saw an odd botter. All they were doing was sitting as a catshop in West Arch spamming the same misspelled sales message over and over.

    At first I let them know about the spelling, no response. Then I made fun of them for it, no response. Then I asked straight out if they were a bot, no response. I came back hours later and they were still spamming the same message over and over. The next day too. I haven't checked to see if they're still there now, but this was only a few days ago.

    Sangodoc you should probably report that if it really be just a spam bot.

    botters do not randomly fly around places. they are extremely easy to spot as they repeat the same action or actions over and over. a real player will have some variation to what they are doing.

    besides, your job, if you choose to accept it is to report the suspect and let the GM's handle it. no need for anyone to have to over think things. ss, send ticket, go back to having fun. or just pk them and ruin there attempt to cheat. b:victory

    b:surrender Misinterpreted again b:kiss Btw no botter in their right mind would be botting in a obvious place (not all of them have their right mind in tact) I have found and reported botters from nightscream to harshlands. b:chuckle Botters seem to like hiding in tiny little corners that they think no-one would ever think to look thus they would be safe.

    given that Jade Dynasty (another PWE game) has the feature built in... solve the problem by selling a boutique item to make it so you can do such things in game eliminating the potential threat of lazy individuals.

    now that you have tabing mobs implemented.. you can now add in Bot traps.
    Targetable objects that are used as decoys for when a bot is near. Bot targets decoy.. ends up hacking away at the decoy all day. OR when the bot is attacking the decoy, if it spends enough time on the decoy it is automatically banned. Seen this somewhere else.. works great.. annoying to farm around decoys tho.

    they should so implement such things.
    and the bot traps should have the same name as the mobs that are nearby in order to foil most if not all bot programs.

    the way i seen it in another game.. is the decoys were like rabbits,mooses,squirels, etc. that were always in the same area as real mobs.
    Take those lvl 1 animals in every town, make them immune to dmg, spawn them in every feild maybe.

    i disable my chat while grinding to concentrate <_<
    i ALWAYS heal @ 1/3 left >_>
    and i never attack back when some1 hits me because my gear isnt bound <_<
    .............
    P.S.: my brother sneaks onto my acc while i get a snack sometimes so i disable chat so that he doesnt mess with my friends
