finding hay

other than shops ,where can I find (harvest) hay for the pet trainer (pet bag quest)

    It's a semi-rare drop from various monsters. The best drop rates are from Abyssal Mysteries (Level 34 fish thing in the river that runs through Hidden Orchid Valley) and Antelope Pups (Level 30 deer near Silver Pool/Stairway to Heaven). Various lower-level turtles, as well as the Rhinodrake Megaliths outside Archosaur, also drop them, but at much lower rates.

    edit: Here's a full list of the mobs that drop Hay. Personally I farmed the Antelope Pups, since the Abyssal Mysteries are surrounded by annoying aggressive Undines.

    Also the Longhorned Carapest Terrors near Plume have a decent drop rate.
    They're lvl 19 so you don't have to wait until near lvl 30 for the Antelope Pups or Abyssal Mysteries, and I found 19 to be a good lvl to get an extra pet bag slot on my veno.
