Genies as an alternative to potions?

The first thing that pops into my head when I see genies is to use one as a healer in PvE. Paying money for extra skills really doesn't appeal to me at all, but a healing-based genie could end up being a more cost-effective way to reduce downtime than potions or whatever else, saving me money in the long run. Is this a viable use for a genie, or does it just end up being more expensive in the end? If it does work, is there a generic "healing skill" that most people teach genies of this kind?
