    Interested in this also, but they are different beasts. While the Wanderer has high pdef, the Scorpion has sigficant mdef. The Scorpion has much better accuracy which is often overlooked in a DD pet.

    Very true about the defensive aspects but I am asking for the in this case for the sole purpose of using on a boss to DD while a barb or what else tanks so unless there is aoe the def stat is not an issue.

    So for just pure DD (and now that you mention it accuracy should be taken into account but I dont know how exactly to apply the accuracy numbers into dps) I assume at this point we are looking at scorpion, dark wanderer and seamonster guardian or others that may be recommended. So if anyone as these pets or access to these at the same level I believe we would all appreciate a comparison.

    Not sure, but I think according to Brael's work the Scorpion does out DD the Dark Wanderer with better acc to boot.

    hmm im 62 and it seems ive been stealing aggro a few times from my walker since icicle doesnt seem enough. should i buy bash from the zoologist? should i then lvl it up? btw my pets the same lvl as me

    I got my Walker Thunderbolt and leveled it up, because magic attacks always hit and the Walkers have a low accuracy. (I'm not sure if Bash always hits or uses the pet's accuracy though.) My Walker has no problems keeping aggro.

    I'll probably trade Tough for Howl later on too, so my and my Walker's magic attacks will do more damage.

    My 77 Walker has the original's at lvl 2 and I added Bash to lvl 4. He works out lovely.

    Yes, someone already did all the math on DDing.

    It may be surprizing to some that the ninetail actualy comes after the scorpion for DDing. And as "grab as-you-go" pet, it comes with 9.8m/s, howl 4, FR2 and Fireball4 and good Mdef.
    Too often we loose sight of life's simple pleasures. Remember, when someone annoys you, it takes 42 muscles in your face to frown, BUT, it only takes 4 muscles to extend your arm and slap that mother#$@%#^! upside the head.
