I am very new to Perfect World (downloading it now), and I was looking for some guidence as to what server might fit me best.

I prever PVE, and I like to RP.

I have played a lot of MMOs, and we all know that there are servers that are more mature than others. I am looking for a server with an older population, or at least a more mature one (I suppose age does not automatically equal maturityb:chuckle).

Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance for any help.

I've only played on 2 different servers. Raging Tide ~its still new~ and Heavens Tear. If your looking for more mature people I would suggest Heaven's Tear because most of the higher levels on Raging Tide are a bit rude and...well I'll leave it at that b:chuckle

Avoid harshalands (pvp), rising tide (pve) and probably Dreamweaver. Lost City (pvp) and Heaven's Tear (pve) are probably the two busiest servers for their play settings.

Everyone will tell you their server is the best though. :P

I say pick PvP server, because when you're lower, you'll love it being safe from pk, but when you're higher, you'll be bored and harassed by people kill-stealing you and have no recourse except endless frustration. :P

Heaven's Tear (PVE server) has mostly high/er level characters with an established economy. Lower level gear should be fairly cheap because there is an abundance of it floating around in shops and at the auction house. So starting a new character here has it's advantages. Also you will find an abundance of assistance from higher level players. The downside is that you will be too far behind in levels to be considered a real threat in pvp.

Starting out on Raging Tide (the newest PVE server) you'll be more on par with the majority of characters but there will be more competition for gear. Also many if not most of the players on this server are alts, who knows if they're just visiting or in for the long haul..

I guess it would be a good idea to give a couple different servers a try to notice the culture there.

Rising Tide if you plan to cash shop regularly. Sanctuary or Heaven's Tear if you do not. :P
I post in forums. This one and others. That's why I post.
