I've stopped and im guessing you have stopped. Has it made a difference? No. Is there anyway you can stop everyone on the server's to stop paying high gold prices? No.

I doubt you've stopped. Do you buy dragon orbs? Socket stones? Charms? Tele's? Dye? Eso's? GA's? Those are all items where the person buying the gold isn't the person paying the higher cost. It's the final consumer of the item that's paying the gold cost. Lets say someone is selling 1* orbs at a 10k profit per orb.
    If gold is 500k that's 500000*1.02*2.7/10+10000=147700 coin/orb
    If gold is 400k that's 400000*1.02*2.7/10+10000=120160 coin/orb
    If gold is 300k that's 300000*1.02*2.7/10+10000=92620 coin/orb
    If gold is 200k that's 200000*1.02*2.7/10+10000=65080 coin/orb
    If gold is 100k that's 100000*1.02*2.7/10+10000=37540 coin/orb

In all of those cases, the hypothetical sellers profit is the same. The person who's ultimately paying for the gold price is you. Unless you stop using boutique items all together, one way or another you're paying those prices even when it's not directly paying.

Yeah, you get 1 mil for opening it... but the damn gold you spend on the hammer you need is worth nearly 2.5 mil.

Do you know all those people that say "if all the free players leave how will the gold sellers sell their gold for in-game coins"? OR what about "lets everyone stop buying gold ingame so it drops to less than 100k per gold"

Well, the chest of coins are PW's insurance policy against free players trying to hold the game hostage. The chests enable paying customers to be able to trade gold for in-game coins no matter what.

Just like your insurance policy, which is pretty much useless if everything is fine, so the chests are useless, however, in the unlikely event of something happened, you have your bases covered.
