Hey so I've seen a lot of questions about genies recently so I thought I'd just give some basic info on which genies are good for bms and which skills are useful in PvE/PvP situations.
First of all I recommend either a Str Genie or a Dex genie. Both Str and Dex genies have access to more skills but tend to have much less useful versions due to less str or less dex.
Try to aim for a 51+ LP genie that way you get access to 5 skills.
Good PvE skills
-Alpha Male (str based) -Essential for rebirth
-Extreme Poison (dex based) -Extra damage
-Tangling Mire (str based) -for AoE Grinding
-Cloud Eruption (str based) -Extra chi
-Holy Path (dex based) -Run away from mobs, towards mobs, run through instances faster
-Lightning Chaser (dex based) -interrupt boss casting
-Tree of Protection (str dex based) -last ditch heal
For PvE a genie isn't that important, pretty much pick whichever skills are more suited to your style
PvP Genie:
-Extreme Poison (dex based)
-Occult Ice (str based)
-Balance (str based)
-True Emptiness (str based)
-Cloud Eruption (str based)
-Bramble Rage (dex based)
-Thunderstorm (dex based)
-Earthquake (dex based)
I'll give a brief summary of why each skill is useful:
Extreme Poison- extra 20% damage really helps you get through that 10 second charm tick. Relatively low cost and doesn't need dex to be useful.
Occult Ice- One of my favorite genie skills. With a high str genie you can have 80+% chance to freeze the target for 6 seconds where they can't do anything. With just a regular stunlock your target can use a pot or skill in the small breaks between stuns, with occult ice you can stun-freeze-stun providing for a complete stunlock where they can't do anything (except expel)
Balance- Good for absorbing some damage, I mostly use it when my charm has ticked and they are triple sparked. Use marrow phys first, then balance, then marrow magical for some extra absorption. The anti-stun also helps.
True Emptiness- This skill's awesomeness cannot be described in words. This is a must get. With a half decent genie this skill means death for any squishies who try to fight you in the air. stun at just over 50%, hit them once to tick them, HF, then True Emptiness. Highest I've hit is on a 95+ veno for 22k with this skill. I also like to use it when I have only a couple energy; I don't lose much energy and I still get a decent magic shield
Cloud Eruption- Personally I keep this at level 1 because of the energy cost. Gives out anywhere from just over 1 spark to more depending on the str of your genie. As a bm chi is essential for pvping, if you need a quick burst while your pots are on cd this is very useful
Bramble Rage/Thunderstorm- Two very similar skills, bramble has the advantage of being aoe and doing more damage, however thunderstorm uses less damage and can be combined with extreme poison more easily. Up to you. Most of the time the HF+Bramble Rage/Thunderstorm combo will not work on an experienced bm, but you never know
Earthquake- Personally have never used the skill but I see a lot of bms using it. At level 10 has a 100% chance to disrupt enemy skills, so I guess if you see a wiz using ulti you can use this for a quick interrupt.
Hope this helps out some bms who are wondering which skills to put on their genie, feel free to post with your own suggestions and input.

Nice work, even if miss a few skills and include a few i dont understand.
I never had problem GVing without alpha male.
Balance is a waste in pvp. The only two thing against what u could possible need that is three sparked debuff tempest, and bids. Getting a skill for these two is a waste, in any other situation that geneie energy could have better use.
Tree of protection is very useful in pvp aswell, mainly in TW.
Why is earthquake in the list? It doesnt do that great dmg, the cancel cast isnt really needed.
Also cloud eruption, i personally would never waste precious genie energy on that, but well thats just maybe me.
Having dext genie is a waste again, not having occult ice, tree of prot, tangling mire, and true emptiness is just bad.

Its usefulness was cut when the duration got cut from 15 seconds, but it's still a pretty nice skill to have, especially when you are talking about a STR genie anyways. When casters take a Vac then triple sparks, it's quite nice to have a 14k+ magic shield.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
