Cannot Log In

Alright, my friend just made himself a PWI, and he just downloaded the game. He'll open it, and type in his information, and hit log in. It says the account is nonexistent. He tried again. Same problem. It's letting him log in to the website, just not the game. Has anyone has this problem, and how can he fix it?
