Alright. I've played Perfect World for roughly 3 years through PWI and the Malaysian versions. And I'd just like to say that it's becoming a theme that every part of this game is just completely half-done.
How is it fair that people pay money for things in this game when we're given back with horrible quality of service to players? There's horrible typos in important things such as the cash shop. If you ever care to read the literature in the quests, you'd find there to be HORRIBLE grammar.
There's glitches in this game that have not been fixed for years, but this PW-CN's fault after all.
Yeah I s'pose I'm QQing, but this is completely unfair. What pushed me over the edge here is charging 70 USD for a mount, where I could go elsewhere and use that money to buy MONTHS worth of subscriptions to MMOs who take care of their problems directly and actually push out content they promised to give.

how many rant threads a week are you going to make? its a baby game, give the damn thing time to blossom, rather than sitting here criticizing things that cant be easily fix/just handed to you.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
advice to fledgling archers:

This is the only "rant" thread I have ever made. I am nobody's alt if that's the impression you're getting here.
Blossom? This game has been out for some hell of a time now. This must be some hell of a flower. b:surrender0 -
apologies must be thinking of someone else.
but PWI compared to things like [removed] (10 years) [removed] (10) [removed] (8) etc. it is a baby MMO. hell, [removed] is like the granddaddy of MMOs and its still the number one MMO in asia O_o;[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

take your own advice.
Paying customers deserve to get what they paid for. It's completely ridiculous to say "just handed to you".
Baby game? With all the scantily clad characters? I really pity a person who is so jaded & hardcore that they think that way. Sad to be you & all the joy in life gone.
Time to blossom? What a joke. They've had plenty time to fix things. They ignore errors & issues to choke us with new content that is also broken & say that's an EXCUSE for not fixing things.
This whole attitude is extremely immature... on your part... and on PWI's.0 -

Yet, you've put up with it for this long. As have many others. I guess the poorly translated storyline and inconsistent content doesn't really affect their bottom-line now does it? Why would it be a high priority if better grammar won't likely bring more moola? If anything, a proper translator would cost more moola for no visible return. To be fair, they most likely have their hands full, trying to keep the majority of players happy, adding new content and fixing major bugs. The majority of players probably just click through the contents without reading anything anyway. After all, it's just another kill quest. It's a nice to have fix, not a game breaker. If it was, we would have all quit a long time ago. PWI version hasn't been around that long, have some patience and hopefully you'll be pleasantly surprised one day.0 -

When PWI was created the community revolved around GM and player interaction. You'd constantly have personal interaction with GMs. What was funny was, the administration here kept picking fun on the other versions of the game. Calling them money hungry and lazy, promising instead that their service will be unrivaled. And now a little over a year later, I feel like nothing has changed when you look at one version of Perfect World vs. this one.0 -

Well considering PWI is 100% dependent on the Chinese developers for bug fixes and all that, it's all the same game.
If you were to download PW-CN and create an account and login, you'd find the game to be identical to this one besides the translations and a few variations in things like mounts and fashion.0 -

the god of all MMOs,[removed] is still FULL of glitches and bots and bugs. PWI takes WAY better care of their game than you may think. we arent spammed to death with gold buyers, we arent crowded due to bots (both which all the games i mentioned in a previous post are.) and glitches dont make PVP/PVE unplayable. (unlike [removed]where you cant ven PVP due to glitched gear item buyers, or level to 99 in a week off a class' attack glitch)
you people really are ignorant and i feel sorry for you all.
hell on a side note, i just remembered a perfect example of two glitches of something youd NEVER see in pw.
one time when we came back from maint, the letter N was randomly blocked in the chat filter.
another was RO's infamous warp bug where priest classes could save a location to warp to later but it would erase your warps any time you went to PVP maps. they tried rewriting the code, respecing it, a number of things. it took them a YEAR to figure out what was finally wrong (i quit before finding the answer, but still.

Look, I don't get why you're becoming so upset here. If you want people to listen to you and take what you say into consideration, it would be advisable to treat other people on the forums with respect. You're definitely not winning my support through tagging the ends of your posts by calling us ignorant.
And I don't want to sit here all day naming all the glitches we deal with each day. There's walk-through walls in FBs for one. Problems with glitching while running/going down mountains. Just simple stuff like that which would indeed take just a little effort to reverse.
I also noticed that you made a point that fixing these things is not a matter of changing a simple lines of code within the game. And though that may be true, remember that people are being payed with our money to develop and moderate this game. It would be their JOB to go into the game code and fix problems like these. It's not a matter that these problems are difficult or that they might take a while to fix, these people have jobs they are payed to carry out, and to not give their mistakes attention would be unethical.0 -

If the expected life of a decent MMO is 2 years (not my own speculation just what I've read)before it starts getting put on the back burner and ppl leave for new/better games. Then this game has already passed its peak. If each game has an estimated 2 years to make it or break it.. PWI is already there.
They dont' have time to sit with their thumbs twiddling. Blossom time should have more than happened in the first year. I don't think ANYONE was screaming we need new races. However; ppl was begging for bugs to be fixed, higher content to be released, drop rates to be increased and sales to stop happening like they were events weekly.
You see it all as whining/criticism. I do hope you realize the actual players here aren't even PWI's worst critics. We actually care enough about the game to try to get change implemented. Other sites and gamers who are paid to check this game out.. they don't wait for PWI to take time to "BLOSSOM". Its past time that PWI step up their A game.hallsvaporaction wrote: »Yet, you've put up with it for this long. As have many others. Players come and go. Some stay for a while longer than 2 or 3 years. Some folks still play [removed]. [removed] has been around since 1999. 16 expansions later, it still has customers, and it still has bugs. All evolving software are like this. You patch some, others pop-up. D2 was one of the best game made from programming perspective and had the least bugs while PW and other games are still far from it even if are made this century...
bots are in PW too, you just dont pay attention to them. there is no single mmo in this world w/o bots.
thats not the point anyway... Thank you for choosing to get your point across without being lewd. I understand that. That will be why the people who stay here do. In hopes of more change and because they truly love this game.
A nice suggestion would be for them to make a server without the gold exchange in it. I doubt that will happen, and tbh this is the first game I ever played where you could actually do that.
No doubt that people will be playing this game for years to come, I wasn't trying to say it would completely die out. Even people who first started playing and left will likely eventually come back with the betterment of the game.
Change is often hard, and sometimes its not liked. Many of us feel that PWI doesn't listen to the core of its player base and what we'd like. For instance.. doing an entire TT run and getting only 1 mat. What a waste of peoples time. There should be at least enough (even cheap) mats to drop that everyone can get at least 1. There are problems like that with this game that should be corrected.0 -

Ermm, I would just like to add that D2 isn't a real Massively-MORPG... 8 players per game is significantly easier to handle than west arch.... It's soul remained a single player rpg with multiplayer aspirations.0
