I personally have seen two or three in W.Arch already. I say "two or three" because one spotting may have been the same guy zooming past again.

Just because something is outrageously priced is a specific reason some people will purchase it. It is the "Lookie-what-I-bought" attitude. It's terrible.

That said, I'm gonna go put on my AX jeans and hop in my Mercedes convertible and drive around so people look at me and say, "Wow, I wish I had that!" It gives me a fuzzy felling inside.

I do agree though that 70 is harsh. I am glad though that this game in the end is free and the mount is far from being as cool as my Rudolph. Red nose Reindeer FTW!!!

LOL. People did and still do this with new aero gear and mounts as well. 70 gold or 20/30 gold, it matters not. Exclusivity is a status symbol, and for some their status symbol on a PWI server means that much. Power to them. They help make it so I don't have to pay **** and get to laugh at all the people whining.

Edit: And it also means in the short amount of time it takes for them to tire of that mount (i.e. a new one comes out to blow money on) the actual value of that gold, in coins, is more relative to half the price. You pay double to get it now.

I don't think so. Gold prices actually went down overnight on Sanctuary, which I don't think has ever happened before on a day when a new mount is released.

Normally Gold jumps up ~15% or so, then comes back down slowly over the course of the day. The fact that it went down instead, even though new fashions were released as well, tells me that people took one look at the price, shrugged, then went back to playing.

Honestly, these threads are kind-of a good thing. People come in and state their opinions and experiences on the matter. There are going to be at least a few people who lurk into this thread and lurk back out thinking "Maybe I should just wait and see if the price drops so PWI doesn't get the idea they can charge prices like this..."
I wouldn't pay 70$ for a mount even if it was a big sparkly fantastical pinto unicorn. Just because I wouldn't want PWI thinking 70$ for a glorified speed boost is ok.

Yes allow me to do some whining and good old fashion QQ'ing over stupid things like the price of this mount

Drops rates are so nerfed in every part of the game it's just crazy how much time it takes to work for it. This game is like a casino that wants to rip you off, you can spend months working for something that some random low-lvl gets lucky with from some packs. And certain Sage/Demon skill books like say I have to get 30 pages of fate from a month of cube and I'll have a 14,28% chance to get HF. And there's alot of features of the game that is designed this way, even things you can exchange for from tokens/packs at the boutique agent.

If you are smart and patient enough sure you can survive in this game without spending anything but paying you're electricity/internet bill. Now I know alot of MMORPG's are overprized in design like PWI and the whole It's a "free game" but you sure hell can't get alot of things without using the boutique especially at the "end-game" not to mention charms is a huge imbalance and another smart gimmick/cash sink to make money since charms is a must in serious TW, RB etc and that charm will burn up, your real money/coin won't. But hey maybe some kids aren't smart enough yet to understand this game before they charge their parents credit card.

I sorta feel the really bad wave of QQ and people starting to leave happend with the anni packs...and the new server and blantly putting oracles out etc hasn't helped the old player base, there will be new players sure but that's untill they learn the true nature of PWI.

I've said it before and I will say it again, eventually they'll keep **** the players over so much with sales and packs and stupid events that they will drive a majority of their player base away. And there is always someone who is gonna try to defend the management of this game every time by "stop QQ'ing" it's a free game blah blah if you love PWI so much give it all you're money that's all they care about don't you see that?

I know sites of an 11 year old game that has more forum activity than PWI, who doesn't falsely advertise 50M players and I have never seen such greed in my life. It's something I will have remember to stay away from in the future in this constantly more industrialized gaming industry.

70 gold for a mount they'll probably will put on sale someday is just completely whack in the head...what next...

i am here because there are a fair number of inquisitive minds on the archer boards that pique my interest. in the down time of posts there and in the veno subboards to help out others, i find myself drudging through the monument of idiocy that tends to be general discussion.

if you havent noticed, there is a number of people throwing around that term 'Q_Q' as if it means, STOP WHINING.

PWI is far from dieing. If you don't want to spend $70 on this mount then don't. If no one buys the mount then next time a mount comes out the price will drop. Its that simple. The last several mounts came out at $50 and people complained about the rates, but more people purchased them. So now the next logical step is to see if they can get people to spend $70. Its how our economy works. The more the demand the more the supplier can charge. The less the demand, the less they can charge.

I am happy with my Spurred Kirrin, and while I like the way this mount looks, I don't $70 like it. And everyone I have talked to so far today has pretty much said the same. So I suspect that either they will reduce the price of this mount in the next couple months, or the next mount will be cheaper.

Well, i can't deny there's always a lot of so-called "QQing". But here I can't find any complaining without reason. Actually there's lots of serious worrying about the future of PWI, how players are treated and so on. That's at least better than just telling everyone to stfu. You say people behave like children, but stating their dissatisfaction shows the opposite - They think about what's going on and don't just eat what's put on the table. And since prices affect everyone sooner or later, it is a matter that should be of interest for everyone.

Actually, I buy 1 product from McDonald's for the pure source of food.

Nothing better to do? I actually do. I would love to be pew pewing snowmen right now, but that what.. 4 day event is already gone. Who cares....it is not that fantastic looking anyways imo. If this affects your gameplay, then I suggest you just uninstall and walk away. Harsh maybe but seriously....this mount has not affect on you time in-game.

If you do not like the price do not buy it.

People did not think that this mount would be pricey? Granted I did not think 70 GOld, but it does not affect me at all. I got new fashion b:cute Besides, I would get a 10* orb before I got another mount.

Besides, within minutes after the server was up there were a few on LC and I even wc'd to find one to see and I got countless pm's saying they were getting it then and would come to me. This just shows that people are and will pay 70 gold for this mount.

Can I complain about the cost and number of dyes it takes to dye them? With a few sets and dyes it will be close to 70 gold b:sad Thank goodness I stocked up on Gold before the servers went down b:cute

how many people have doubts about anyone buying a herc or nix at the current costs. Someone will buy anything if not everything that pwi releases. Maybe not myself but there are enough people with enough money to blow that have nothing else to do with their money. And yeah it is their money to begin with to spend how they choose.

Lol....people have to grind regardless and to say you were happy with the way things were before means you enjoyed the endless grinding and farming. Whilst people were begging for less grinding and farming.

There will never be a true happy medium between everyone. The moment that I decide I have had enough = uninstall. It is rather simple. If you do not like it then just step away. I know more then a few games that are soooo much worse then this one.

Besides, you can get anything you want in this game without spending one penny. You just might have too put a little work and effort into it...something most do not want to do.
