where and how do you get into the tideborn fb19 instance

    i don't think there is one yet, maybe one in the future though but im not certain.

    There is one...but it is just a boss, there is not even tabs to go with it. You port in, in a squad, swim to boss, fight boss, port out....

    It is not really an "fb"...it is more of a boss you have to kill. There are no rewards for those that help...I cannot remember the name of the instance though off the top of my head b:surrender Zoom in on the map near Raging Tide and you will see the instance on the map...

    There is an FB-like underwater room with a boss that gives a 3* weapon. It's like a FB without mobs inside. There is a little island SE of the upper TB island.

    The boss (whom I call the Kraken b:laugh) respawns fast in the island so tell the players you have with you to rush out once you kill it.

    It's a small island southwest of the Island of Broken Dreams. It's called the Caves of Menaces. Unlike the FB19 instances, you can't enter it alone and there isn't a pillar to tab so no experience or rep for any helpers. No mobs, only one water boss. It's actually a public area so you'll see other squads around you. KSing happens when it gets busy. Luckily the boss respawns fast. Killing the boss yields no molds so it's only similar to the lvl19 purple challenge quests in that you'll get a 3 star weapon for turning it in. Though the 3 star is worse than your lvl20 stash 2 star weapon and pretty much only good for turning it in to General Summers for a small charm. No tab, no mob, no mold, no exp, no rep, not a real per squad instance but a free for all public area = nothing like a FB.

    But on the plus side, we get a lvl 20 quest to kill Qingzi in FB29 for a 50% chance mold or mirage celestones. The mold weapon is better than both the three-star weapon from the quest and the supply stash weapon.

    Ah yes, another great idea, go kill a lvl35 FB boss with a bunch of lvl 20 squishies (I'm not sure if a group of lvl20 assassins and psychics can even take out Qingzi) or beg a BH/FB squad or a higher level to do it for ya and they'll need to make a spot for you though you aren't much use to them. The alternative is of course to actually wait for your FB29 tab and get a chance for that lvl22 mold. And the mold isn't a 50% chance, it's a rare chance. Most folks end up with mirages. The lucky few gets molds (normal FB19s also drop molds, but helpers get exp and rep.) This isn't a plus side.

    It's about 50/50 to get the weapon token molds from the limited sample size I've seen.

    If that's true, then it's better odds then I've seen. 1/17 runs I've helped on had mold on turn in. Maybe I'm just bad luck b:surrender

    My husband and I both got a mold, our friend did not. She was a psychic and we are both sins. I am not sure that matters though. He got his from the 39 token and I didn't get one. I'm not sure how random is it or isnt..but from the drastic price drop of them I'd say they aren't very rare.

    I went into SP and a BH group asked me if I wanted to join them. Don't know what server you're on, but yours probably has a bunch of jerks (or it's just you). The reward is a mold or mirage celestones. One out of two possibilities. That's a 50% chance. Maybe everyone you know is unlucky or you've only paid attention the QQers that got the celestones or they're all jerks whose karma is biting them on the butt or you're just upset that you got the short end of the stick when you tried it. I've done FB19 instances on 5/6 of all the old classes and didn't get a mold once. Hell, I didn't get any drops whatsoever aside from coins. So, yes, this 50% chance to get a mold is a plus side.

    b:thanks Thank you for the info. Guess I was the bad luck charm then. My only friend who got a mold was an assassin. Everyone else was mirages mirages and more mirages, including my own sin. Nothing like tiptoeing through deep orange mob land to come back with mirages to show for it. =P

    My tidies have gotten 2 molds out of 5 weapon token quests (assassin got mold from Qingzi and mirages from Hercule, psychic got mold from Hercule and mirages from Qingzi and Wyvern.) My questing comrade has had similar luck.

    My veno soloed FB19 from lvl28 to lvl33, 9 amulet molds, 1 mirage sword mold, 1 moonlight bow mold. Mold outcome is around 1 in 3 runs. If you run with high lvl squads, your chance for mold is reduced drastically. One out of 2 possibilities doesn't make it a 50% probability. One could be 51% chance, the other 49% or even 99/1. Getting a higher lvl to babysit your quests and get rewarded for it isn't a plus.

    Those are still not enough examples to proclaim the 50% chance of mold to be absolute truth. Before you start, I'm not saying you support that statement b:sweat A few hundred million examples will make me believe the 50% chance is somewhat truthful ( and yes, I'm using your comment as example to reply to previous one's )

    That's mold drops. Weapon token quest for tidies has a mold or mirages as a reward, and has nothing to do with level of squad that runs it.

    I know. I was replying to Panthalassa's post about her 5 FB19s with no mold drops. Mold drops in normal FB19s have everything to do with the level of the squad that ran it.

    I'm not trying to convince you of anything. My original reply was first to point out that it wasn't a good idea to ask lvl20s for a FB29 and a lvl35 boss as it breeds parasitic players; and second was to point out that it wasn't 50% chance for a mold from what I've seen on rewards. The rewards weren't based on the work put in and didn't seem to yield a high rate of molds. This quest isn't a plus based on those two observations as parasites with better chances at molds is hardly a positive thing for the game.

    Lame archers. -_-' DDs are supposed to start with full dps AFTER the tanker got the aggro, btw, 1flesh hit is not take the aggro, in other mmorpg (can't say the name) you get the aggro after your char deals 10% of the boss damage, in pw, according to the database, you get the aggro after sometime. Why is bad taking the aggro? (Archers) Because some bosses have aoe atacks and some barbarians have ms lower than the boss, so he need to pass the boss to do another flesh, and since most of the archers stay behind the tanker and most of the time near the clerics imagine if they get a double strike like the second boss of fb51? (the lion) -.-'

    when I tank (with kowlin or shaodu) I tell then to hold off for 25% I'd do that same as a barb as well
