Chrono Core / Lochmur Guardian Beast

Alright, so I have the quest to obtain a Chrono Core for Aurosy. In order to do so, I need to kill a boss with over 1.3 million HP, level 150. I proceeded to do so with one cleric healing me and occasionally tossing off a Tempest. Oh and a couple blue-names taking whacks at it, and getting insanely lucky in that the boss didn't throw its AoE.

However, the cleric was in squad with me, and when the boss died, I got nothing. Before I have another go at it, I just want to ask anyone who's finished this quest for the proper conditions. I'm guessing cleric out of squad healing, with nobody else in squad or doing any damage?

    You can't be in a squad, and you have to do 50% or more of the damage. While I was there, the common practice was to do the first half yourself, and then have whoever else is around DD the rest to speed things up. I'm not sure if this is true, but the people I was there with said that the last few hits had to be yours, so most asked people to stop DDing when it had around 20k HP left. You can also have a veno amping the boss the entire time to speed things up.
