    i'd like to know why it's bannable tho. you don't have to mess with game files to run multiple clients on the same computer. an explanation about that would be nice.

    If you play under the same user account then yes you need to edit files. Editing the games files to get an "unintended" use out of the game is against the EULA/ToS and will result in a ban.

    Playing under two accounts on the same computer will result in ban according to the EULA/ToS as well. That includes virtual instances of the same or different OS's.

    Now I asked someone how it can be detected and looked it up myself. Your router has one IP that from your ISP and and some people don't believe you can be "detected" by multiClienting. Well your MAC address on your ethernet card/wifi card gives you away. Go look that one up yourself as I had to =P

    Btw, they can ban you because they said. They don't need a reason. That's all they need as an explanation. The EULA/ToS says they can ban for any reason. But they don't just ban to ban :)

    I do wonder why multicleinting is bannable, but multiboxing isn't. Isn't it pretty much the same thing, just one instance uses more than one pc, while the other uses just one pc? The result is the same - one person, playing more than one of their characters at the same time.

    Ah well, rules is rules, and I don't see anything as "unfair", so I'm not complaining, lol.
