why get the Unicorn?

I'm approaching level 70, (for some reason Avatar level is glitched at level 52..) and I see a lot of level 70s using Unicorn. Isn't the unicorn weaker than Swiftwind? 0.o

why would you use a Unicorn when the ThunderCrack is sexyness beyond what a Unicorn can handle?

    Its cheap, looks cool ,easy to get, everyone else gets it.
    I use wind and the clouds..but yeah Unicorn sucks.

    Hell a 3*** Crescent Moon bow dropped in my fb69 today and its better than the unicorn.

    At 70 most archers are using either Wind and the Clouds, Unicorn or Thunder Crack.

    Wind and Clouds has great dps and awesome attack rate but Unicorn isn't a slingshot.

    I went with Unicorn.

    Also you can get Soulsmasher at 80 so you can pretend your unicorn is one while you're in the 70s.

    It took me a while, but Lady Valirah convinced me with some math.

    Standalone, the Unicorn is a decent weapon, and certainly better than Swiftwind Crossbow.

    For PvE, Wind and the Clouds is better.

    StormHydra - what are the stats on that 3* Crescent Moon Bow?

    Winds and the clouds is better and not more expensive at AH. Unicorn is better than crossbow of same level. Personnaly i used unicorn +3 and it was fine, if u r full dex. it s cheaper, u can keep money for u r 80 weapon (Chained jail or soulsmasher until 85, after broadland...)

    I prefer my Thundercrack, it's +5, but it's up to you which you like.

    I recently made my CrimsonHorn: Soulsmasher (since i didnt even use the Unicorn when after making it)

    I primarily use WaTC (for grinding) and Thundercrack (for Bosses). Seeing as I had all 3 of the weapons I didnt find any need of the Unicorn other than making the soulsmasher.

    To answer your question, I would say Unicorn is better than Swiftwind +3 because:

    1) Unicorn +0 has a higher average damage-per-hit than Swiftwind +3
    2) Unicorn +0 has a higher average damage-per-second than Swiftwind +3
    3) Unicorn +0 has a higher attack speed than Swiftwind +3
    4) It is easier to upgrade a Unicorn +0 than it is to upgrade a Swiftwind +3

    i hate xbow's attack speed which is the sole reason i'd pick unicorn over it.
    Navarre was your everyday veno, until she learned her true form. Now she's fox walloping and purging over and over again.. all for a deep stinging, head hunting, wind pushing Assassin. Will there be inner harmony and myriad rainbows? But of course! Yuri&Lemon Find it on Fanfiction XD "Discovering Sanctuary" Chapter 2 is up ^_^

    Well im a PvP Archer so attack speed doesn't really matter to me, since it doesn't effect skill casting @_@

    4 out of 6 (7 cases) classes you use normal attacks which rely on attack speed.

    2 of the classes (and heavy veno) you cast.

    though archers and LA wizzies are a toss up on either depending on the situation.

    That is my reasoning on using a unicorn that level. Though then again i have no experience with PvP at those levels.

    well i got my Unicorn because at 7x you pretty much get made fun of if you dont have a TT70 wep. and also i like the motions of a bow better than a crossbow. i still use my swiftwind though, just so when i run out of arrows i can switch to bolts :p

    I have not once been mocked since I got my Wind and the Clouds at 69, which I am still using. And I'll be 83 today.

    Wind and the Clouds slingshot +5, 2 Perfect garnets.

    The Unicorn +5 and similar shards adds 62 to my base attack and removes 1 % critical. I still prefer the speed of a slingshot it makes a large difference when doing something such as the public quest. The extra hits add up over time. I am a Pve archer sometimes a PVP one, I don't normally use MP skills in the field my offense is high enough to grind for free without using them. Attack speed is important to me. Mine is currently 0.83. To the person above me, if someone in my level range mocks me for selecting a slingshot, i'll just kill them with it lol.

    Depends wat ya looking for to be honest. but Wings n clouds as 7x is really gud for grinding specially at butterfly later at mid 7x. Winds n clouds is way cheaper than both ya want.

    Now if ya talking pvp.. Thundercrack is way superior to both. But then again a 7x archer will get one shot by 9x+ n 2 shot by 8x+.. So if ya think about it. Its not such a biggie gettin it.. of course when u hit 80 then u gonna have to worry more on pvp..

    But think like your in high skool. Your a sophmore. You cant really play wit juniors n seniors yet. U gotta lv up.. winds n clouds best PVE.

    I'm with Unicorn, Wind and Clouds and soon ( kinda late but what ever ) with 2 TT 70 crossbows ( I have a lot of free time.... )

    But I prefer Unicorn out of Wind and Clouds b:cute more dmg and never misses ( almost ..... b:shocked )


    But I have no idea with what to be on lvl 80 b:cry b:surrender

    Well I really luved my chain jail(has a chance to stun) I hope I spell it rite.
    That x bow was amazing.
    Or you could go for crimson if ya wanna throw more $

    but overall I only did rebirth n frost at 80s so my aoe with a chance to stun was really helpful in gv. Yes barrage applies xbow bow effects.

    I just wanna have the weapon that best suits PvP for my level :o
    Grinding isn't really an issue for me, i'd rather Grind with a xBow anywayz xP

    I jus wanna be the strongest I can for a level 7x PvP archer.

    When I get to 80, THEN i'll worrying about being as strong as I can for a 8x archer.

    i would stay with a normal TT till lvl 90.
    Advise is that save all the $$ u got so that at high lvl, u can afford the best.

    b:shutup You know how many people are 80++.

    No point in caring on PVP at 7x unless you gonna go kill sum 6xx or lower. Most Pkers that will come to kill ya.. will be either 8x++ N mostly will shoot ya before.. ya shoot them. Yar life be half way till ya notice.

    Territorial war, i doubt u really into a guild that does them. And if ya are, Most of people against gonna be 8x+.

    Winds n clouds is overall better. Dont worry on PVP Atm, n worry more in lving.
    Dont spend huge amount on money refining. 7x goes to quick. I got my xbow till i was like 78/79 n that was just cause i need it to decompose for 80.

    Wasting time in HH for 70/80 gear is not so worth it. You could probably make same money to buy the mats n lv up as ya grind.

    you can prolly TW with a W&C and get away with it lol...since most of your targets are going to be robe/LA. (i seeses slingshot usage in Transcend's tw vids :O)

    Thats when everyone was 8x n few 9x. Now everyone is 9x with +4 armors n +6 weapons.
