That's something I'd like to know too. Is it worth leveling? And what skills should we teach it? :3 Expert-tamers please respond. b:bye

Looking at its growth chart, it could potentially be a PvP alternative to sawfly. It has a a nice attack spike, so if you're looking for something more attractive than wasp but don't want to give up as much attack as foxwing does, you might want to give it a try. In that case, you definitely want Flesh ream. Other skills depend on your build and playstyle. If you want to be able to last a little longer against melee, then threaten is worth considering, or Howl if you want to nuke harder. Since claw and pounce are out of reach for most people, the last spot is really up to you. Personally, I favor an elemental bash to get a little more damage on HAs.

All of these skills are also decent PvE, really, too, though the lack of defenses and HP in growth will hurt more in PvE than in PvP, since pet will be tanking. But if you like it, I'm sure its workable and would kill decently fast with that attack growth.

So, I heard HA veno is the way to go? :3

i caught one the first night, just because of its fun looks. but then i started flying it against things its level, and found it did really well. it wont replace my windwalking pig, but its fun to have just as an interesting pet, especially for those who fly mantas....looks like the baby manta is following along! ^_^

It's pretty good. I taught it Bash for a nice hard melee attack. I plan to teach it Flesh Ream, Threaten, and something else. Yes, the moves it comes with is ****. :V

Mine's at lvl 27 atm, will keep lvling up and posting up stats.

I won't stop til it's my lvl so around 80ish I'll come back on here and post to let y'all know.

Thunderbolt and fireball are both just as useful as bash. Slow does seem unusual on an air pet though.

I thought this thing would suck. Then I threw it into my spreadsheet of total awesomeness.
    Baby Blazing Phoenix	5457
    Petite Sawfly 2629.8
    Forest Waspkin 2617.2
    Desert Waspkin 2617.2
    Forest Waspear 2617.2
    Desert Hornet 2616
    Cloud Skatefish 2614.8

    Baby Blazing Phoenix	7527.67
    Cloud Skatefish 3900.26
    Infernal Eidolon 3174.14
    Forest Waspear 2664.12
    Forest Hornet 2657.4
    Forest Waspkin 2595.24
    Petite Sawfly 2538.53

The top list is the top 7 air pets in order of dps without skill use (to see their potential with skill customizations), the bottom list is the top 7 air pets in order of dps without skill customizations (just the skills they start with).

It wouldn't be my first pick for an air pet, but it's hardly horrible.

Just to make sure I get this right, it has decent attack. But the one question I have, is how about that survivability. Does it go squish?

Without looking (since I just closed OO and it takes forever to open when nothing is open already) I think it's pretty similar to a sawfly, slightly more squishy though. If the sawfly dies too fast for you... this won't be any different, if you're good with how long it stays up this is about the same.
