I have an Sapphire ATI Radeon HD4870 512Mb DDR5 256 bit and I get the black flashing screen.
Driver version 9.12 - Windows 7 x86
If you have an ATI graphic card and you don't get the black flashing screen tell us the model and the version of the driver you are using.
If and of the Nvidia graphic cards owner have this issue please post here same the model and the driver version.
Thank you.
Let see I guess this is a strict ATI and vista/7 problem.
ATI have bad graphic card drivers they have problems running some games a smilliar problem is for the game The Sabouteur they still didnt fix it hope for Perfect World they can fix it.
You will never fly alone!

    If PWI chooses to employ proprietary graphics that are incompatible with a MAJOR card manufacturer like ATI... then they should expect this outcome.

    It's unacceptable to expect players to run out & get a new card or spend hours of laboring & educating themselves in order to discover & implement a work around just for a couple of showy graphical areas in their game.

    All they need to do is yank the offending graphic, tell everyone they will replace it soon & set to work creating a compatible graphic. Since when does a fancy animation become a reason to ruin thousands of people's game play?

    My ATI is working fine. Running windows 7, 64 bit. Dont see any of these issues.

    Driver is: 8.612.0.0
    I was early taught to work as well as play,
    My life has been one long, happy holiday;
    Full of work and full of play-
    I dropped the worry on the way-
    And God was good to me everyday.
