a level 60 with no charm can tank 1-1
a level 68 with no charm can tank 1-2 (may want a charm for a 60 that is going to tank 1-2)

some squads think you need to BB Drums from the start or else the Barb will die in like 1-2 shots. some of them may be right... depends on the barb and/or his connection speed. Barb must be proficient at cancelling Drum's metal attack. Moreso on 1-2 than on 1-1. I can tank 1-2 without a cleric doing BB on Drums until the 50% mark when AoE starts. Just be sure you're clerics know each other or at least talk about what method they will use for fighting each boss. There's nothing worse than both clerics assuming the other will be the healer and they both just do DD. The only other annoying thing is two clerics spam healing when its just not necessary.

If the barb is good enough, I would think they can start tanking as early as L55+. That could be pushing it though and would be better to wait until probably L58/9 before attempting to tank it. Bear in mind though, this is a good barb we're talking about. (Just for 1-1.)

Squads also need BB for the squishies. A cleric will not survive AoE without BB I think. I know Venos and Wizzies have a hard time with.

I think as early as 55+ a barb can tank 1-1. As long as Alacrity is lvl7 or above... 1-2 is a bit harder, but depending upon the squad makeup and experience, as low as lvl60.

That is 1-2 Soulbanisher. Regardless that you are a squishy and moreover I cannot tell what gear you are wearing. Soulbanisher has a "kick you in the ****" AoE. It gets stronger the closer it gets to being dead. In my upper 70s AA Veno with 60 VIT and good gear, I even switched from my primary weapon to the TT70 sword that adds to VIT, and I would still get one shot by Banisher near the end. He would hit me for all of my HP even with BB (it was 3.6k at that point). Of course, it's been so long since my veno was that level that I do not know if those runs were 1-2 or 1-3. Squishies need BB, clerics included. After a certian point, usually in the 90s, the AoEs from this set do not really matter, unless you have less than 5.5k HP. You are also in FF which adds your phys. def. as Banisher does a physical AoE.

wow you guys must be living in a sheltered community or tanks. I was wearing 3 star 2 socket average citrine sharded gear in the 60's, at lvl 64 i complete tanked 2-1, at 68 i completed my first 2-2, i am now 79 with full 4 socket flawless sharded +3 gear and tanking 2-3 and 3-1 with my faction. if you can reach 10k hp in tiger form i suspect you can most likely tank anything with a decent cleric. the hardest hit's i've taken was from ape in 2-2 without a veno to debuff, these hits ranged from 3-6k each in the last 10% of the bosses health.

no.. you don't. not till AoE starts, then you do need BB. But BB does not need to be done from the get go like lots of squads do.

just some quest reward stuff. Vit build + garnet sharded + fox form. yeah, I did that so that I could survive those fights. whereas you notice the higher level arcane build veno is dead.

I didn't tank those TT's until those levels because I was never asked to before then. And I only started them then because it was time for my quests. I did do a 2-3 (act 2 - substancia) the other night and it went fine. I only stated those levels there because those were the levels I personally have experience with doing them. And I don't have 10k HP, I have only 8k HP. My stuff is sharded with average citrines though. But not refined past +1 yet. Saving my refines for later gear.
