Didn't get the FB tabs...

A friend of mine got the FB 39 quest yet. not the three tabs which appear in your backpack. Can anyone explain why?
(She had NO quests when she went to claim her FB)

    I believe if memory serves me correctly, that she needs to allow her character to die first before you get the first two Call to Duty tabs.

    There are multiple quests in FB39 around that level. Your friend probably has those and not the call to duty quest which gives the tabs.

    Most people get stuck because one of the culti steps prior to getting the FB39 tabs requires you to die. The NPC you talk to says something about proving you don't fear death. There is no quest left in your log, and no culti in your new quest list. Most people just click to accept the quest without reading the text so they miss the part about dying.

    So tell your friend to get herself killed. It's best to do it right after you level to minimize exp loss. I've heard dueling also works, but I haven't tested that. If she's not too far into the level, she can dump her exp into a genie as well prior to dying.

    Yeah, that's true.

    Other options for dying:
    1. Get a cleric to ress you so you don't lose as much exp
    2. Go into PK mode, get PKed, and then wait out the rest of the rest of it in SZ

    In case that's your problem.

    nope
    i usually die in that fb39 to get lvl 10 res from high lvl cleric and finish culti while doing fb. always got tabs before finishing culti

    Me and her have both died latelty and like i said, she had no quests. I cant get the FB yet so i wouldn't know why.

    Or... if it's the death part one is stuck on. The one who needs to die can relog so they can be in PK mode, then, the one to die must inflict damage upon a friend, and allow their friend to kill them. If you don't wanna drop something, empty your inventory. Or just let your friend pick up what you may drop.
    Bam. Culti done, no 2 hour PK penalty for anyone, no exp loss.

    That's what me and my friend did. Just remember, the one who starts the fight has to be the one to die, or there will be a 2-hour penalty for killing a white name.

    When Saukey decides she can swim, I know I didn't get the DC pop-up again. Wish she swam when it matters.

    No there is no need to die for any quest ever. 1st thing to check is to make sure cultivation quests are done. Check your find quest tab in quest log to make sure she didnt forget anything. And make sure she didnt have full inventory before picking up quest. Other than that if the tab didnt appear then bug report it.

    Mission #1 Visit Celestial of One at Tears of Heaven City (469, 568)
    Reward EXP (80)
    Mission #2 Die, suicide, get killed... have a friend PK you if you don't want to lose EXP or die after you level up when you're at 0% so there is no EXP to lose (Be reborn). On a PvE server PKing won't work. Don't try to duel either, it's not a real death.

    The culti (aware of discord i think) is unrelated to fb39. the culti chain is easy: become lvl 39, talk to cele elder, die, talk to ghost, talk to elder again.
    fb39 tabs are available in a separate chain.
    you don't have to do the fb to get your next lvl culti skills. (and vice versa) the easy way to check culti quest status is if you have no yellow quest in log, but there's an orb of rejuvenation (or something like that) in quest inventory. if that's the case, jump on Sword Tamer.

    I now wonder why everyone was talking about dieing. Before i read the second page I had started doing my culti and died to get the quest, that was the spiritual cultivation not the FB.
    But no worries now, she did hers with me and it counted as I got the tabs =3

    Wow i totally did not remember that. >.< soz guys i was thinking u were playing some huge incredibly mean joke on an innocent. i had to go ask people about that..i guess i did died and did the quest by accident or something cuz i have noooo recollection of that ever. O_O

    i didnt died to do it i flied to a npc called ghost spirit but in my next culti i was reading the wiki and it said you needed to die in the culti 39b:angry dont wanna die

    I remember doing this 39 culti back on my first character. I read the quest guide and had found a guild-mate in PK mode to kill me. That was how I learned that having a mid-level barb smack at you was only an effective way to kill a charm.
