In fox form would barehanded work better? I'm assuming it does since though you need mag to heal pet, but you don't need it for your wep so you can add more str or vit.

xD Help?

I gues a magic sword will be better, it gives u the option to heal your pet better, and it also adds some more phys attack.

As you may be aware, your equipment locks while in fox form - you are unable to equip or unequip anything.

The only reason the Unarmed option exists for foxform is that some time ago there was a bug wherein if your weapon broke while in foxform, you were trapped that way.

No he's asking if it would be better to not use a weapon and put all your points into Str/Dex for a Fox Form build. That's not really a viable option. Even though magic weapons don't have a big physical attack stat, they still add a lot. Factor in melee mastery and you absolutely need a weapon. Going barehanded nerfs your damage and putting those extra points into strength won't make up for it. Plus, leaving magic at base nerfs your pet heal.

Going into Fox Form barehanded was always around. The bug was that it stopped working so those whose weapon broke while they were in Fox Form were unable to switch out. They didn't implement the barehanded option to fix the bug.
