Wedding Candy?

My apologies for yet another one of 'these' threads. I've tried asking in-game, but to no avail.

I'd rather like to procure the first set of rank armour, however, I'm very rapidly approaching level 30 (I only have 30,000EXP or so to go) and still only have 250-something reputation despite doing every quest I could, so it would appear that my only option is to devour a couple of batches of 'wedding candy' then complete quests as normal to get the remaining few points.

Unfortunately, after checking numerous consignment shops in Archosaur, not one person seems to be selling any. May I ask roughly how much I could expect to pay for two lots of candy in the event I actually manage to find someone selling some?

    You can find Wedding Candy in the Auction Houses, look under the Misc. tab, under Wedding. b:victory

    It's very normal for people to level far beyond their rank-equivalent progress. Although many of the items are nice, for many individuals the time-vs-return is not good enough to justify the effort needed to rank up.

    That said, since you seem to be interested in rep, and since you're only level 29, I have a piece of information which may be of use to you:

    There is one particular Lv.33 One-Man Army quest which gives an abnormally high amount of Reputation for completing it (3 rep). (Source) As most other OMAs only yield 2 rep, this is a 50% boost to your rep-gaining ability, which I'm sure you'll agree is rather significant.

    When you attain level 33, if you are still serious about gaining rep, you may want to consider running that OMA continuously. If you become close to levelling up, you can always shunt the excess exp into a genie, either to use yourself or to sell later.

    Food for thought.

    EDIT: Forgot to mention. I would imagine that rep items (like wedding candies or wraith badges) would be prohibitively expensive to you at your level.

    wedding candy quest is ****, not to mention candy is expensive and a waste of money. If you do all your quests along with a little bit of the one-man-army quests, there wont be any ...brick walls in your game play. I got my 5000 reputation which gives lv60 gear back in my lv90s. Thats about the rate of they easy go player. Others may tell you that you can get way higher than this but most of them spam any method and focus on getting the rep (quests, FB, items)

    In case I've misunderstood this, do I need to get the 300 reputation before I reach level 30 in order to get the rank armour, or will I be able to get it whenever I get 300 reputation, regardless of my level?

    Whenever you get your reputation. However, there IS a MINIMUM level requirement that has to be met, though, as previously stated, you should easily surpass that as you play.

    You have to obtain both (300 rep and lvl 30), not in any particular order though...

    Have you been keeping up-to-date on your spiritual cultivation? Doing every quest and spiritual culti up to 30 should give you roughly 330 rep. Either way you can get your rank armour at any level as long as you have the 300.

    Best bet is to reach 30, do every quest and spiritual culti you have, then do a few of the lv33 OMA's to top up the last bit of rep.

    Also note the next rank you get at level 40, but since the rank reward has a requirement of 60 you don't need to worry about it for a while.

    Ahh! I understand it now. Due to the way my friend explained it, I was under the impression that I needed 300 reputation before I hit level 30 in order to get the armour, which is why I was in such a hurry to get it. Now I know that my level is largely irrelevant, I shan't bother with the wedding candy!
