First off, what server do u play on? Second, Patience! Third, just remember you will lead a group into a TT or BH. Usually the lead on a TT or BH will get final drop. I say usually. When I do BH's, I do not complain on the final drops because I am usually the lowest level in the group, but I have patience that one day soon, I will get the drops. So stay w/ it, help when u can, and keep looking forward. There are always ppl. like me on all servers who would love to just do a dungeon just for fun not the drops. And Find a Better Faction that will help u!0

But yeah, I get some abuse as an archer in a TT squad.
Uh, no. A BM is like the missing link in a squad. Makes tanking so much easier for the barb, nice aoes and AOE 6 second stun is the best life saver...Damage amplifier(maxed +100% amp doubles killing speed on bosses XD)...Damage decreaser (for emergencies).. +60% Physical Def buff..(b:dirty)

I have to disagree with the dds getting last pick...take a veno for instance(considered a dd) we venos work our asses off in tt runs...amplify/purge make sure barb is brambled..constant form changing is annoying to say the least and then if boss aoes we gotta keep pet alive as well but we get last pick. I dunno who come up with idea that dds get last pick..bms i can see going last, all they do is spam their skills and (many just go afk from my experience)... but in all fairness each class has their job to do.. cleric, tank and venos do major portion of the work but as a veno I have always had last pick and on top doing all that work venos do most of the damage with their pets.0

This. Here's one for ya. Being the Veno tank of every bloody boss in the entire TT run, and being told you're last because you have "No Repair Cost". I've subbed runs, tanked them, and done it all with a party of fail and sadness, and then been told I get to pick last. How much BS is that?0 -

There's why it's always best to ask about distribution first. If you're told you get last pick...then do a DD's job. Simply refuse to tank, amp, heck even use your pet. If they kick you... then good luck to them without a tank.
It's a well known fact veno's pets deal damage without a 75% nerf like everyone else making them beyond a doubt the highest hitting DD's of all the classes in TT. Veno's are awesome in TT, I hate going without one.
Drops should be distributed on work done...not by class. The subber gets first pick rule is **** too. You give the subber mirages equal to value before distribution and leave it at that.0 -
See I have to disagree, maybe it's because I have an awesome faction, I don't know. But I wait until all drops r picked from my guildies and when nothing turns up worth a **** to level 60+ they drop them for me to take and use or sell. I don't understand how some ppl. can be so frikin stingy on this game, I constantly get requested by higher level members to help in BH runs because they know that when it's over, I take nothing! These runs would crush me alone. But in a group, with enough back-up, I can assist. I love being trusted enough for things like this on a game. But w/ the probs u guys r having, I wish ya'll luck, I haven't encountered probs like this yet.0

I've never bothered doing TT runs. I don't trust random squads, and my faction isn't very big. I just buy the mats I need for my TT or buy the item pre-made.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

As soon as you said 4 clerics healing I facepalmed. If you need more than one healing the tank you need to get yourself a better cleric and/or tank. Secondly you shouldn't be crying, you should have made your stand as soon as you saw all 4 healing. If they still planned on distributing them all as healers you should have left immediately. I find "Backup" healers beyond stupid.
I don't even like the idea of the level rule for distributing for DD's. A pure magic Cleric/Wizard with maxed gems and say +6 grade on their weapon can easily pump out way more damage than anyone with a generic weapon 10~20 levels over them. When my pure cleric was 60 went up against a level 80 wizard who tried to ks a boss I had been waiting to spawn. My stats and pimped out arbor won me the kill over his crappy unrefined wheel of life with one low sapphire. I thoroughly enjoyed his humiliation because he smack talked how there was no way I could out DD him... before AND after. b:thanks He was in such denial.
Vs a 150 there is no difference in damage reduction too. Need to be within 39 levels to have a better reduction, which is lvl111. So there is no advantage of being a higher level DD in that aspect since 111 is currently impossible.0 -

I doubt I'd join any random party for HH... but if I saw 4 clerics I'd drop party right then and there. If you want something from an HH run you tell the people in your party when you start, and you don't start until you've agreed on how to split the drops.
And hell, I get people telling me to take certain drops more often than people refusing to give me what I need. b:surrenderWondering how much longer these **** packs are going to be around.0 -

Lol plenty of Veno's are guilty of this: If tanking just stand there and heal pet, if not tanking just stand there and throw the odd V/scarab in.
All classes have there lazy players, so dont count all BM's in the same group.
Since at the end of the day everything boils down to everyone just spamming skills, the good players know how to use them skills to the benifit of the party.
In TT a good BM will amp dmg, help cancel aoe's, reduce dmg if tank is taking to much etc etc .. Post 90 with Demon spark and fist's we make a hell of a DD aswell .0 -

QFT. I think that's part of the problem, really. So many bad players bring down the general expections of all classes. After you've seen so many noobs playing a certain class, you start to think that's just the norm for that class, so even if you are partied with a great player, you still look down on them for their class.0 -
This is why splitting rules should always be declared from the very beginning, so there is no confusion - and people who disagree can leave right off the bat.
As for fairness, I can definitely see how you got to pick last - since the standard rule *is* sub - barb - cleric - DDs. If you wanted an exception, again, had to be made in the beginning. I can only conclude that you were careless and it was your fault.0 -

Unfortunately the order isnt purely about how much work or how much compensation for repairs/charms the jobs need. Its also about rarity. When you're looking for hours on end for a Barb, they end up getting the sweetest end of the deal. On the flip side, Veno's are by far the most over populated class. If a Veno doesnt like the deal & decides to leave, the spot will be filled in 20 seconds. It's the unfortunate truth, but classes arent just evaluated on skill and effort, but also on simple supply & demand of the class itself.0 -
StormHydra - Sanctuary wrote: »Out of every TT order, Veno seems to vary the most.

They can.
You see some venos afk spamming venomous, calling off their pet entirely after it dies once or twice....but then you see the occasional veno who fully tanks certain bosses, amps, debuffs, sends sparks and keeps a consistent overall damage more than even a wiz or archer. A good veno can keep a near constant iornwood/amp on a boss which makes things drastically faster.
Veno's like that deserve a fair share of drops for their work. Same as any other class doing their job to their full potential.0 -
With a squad of random ppl. Random loot > All
Saves so much time effort trying to sort out distribution.0 -

You've clearly not been in a TT past 1-1, or any TT at all. You're going to spend hours in a TT for a chance to get a mat that you need?Elena Costel: I wash my hands of this affair.

And whats the difference between that and being last in the squad to choose a mat? Your still gonna need hours in TT to get a few of the mats.
You want a good chance to pick that mat you need? Join a good faction.
What i do is sell the mats i dont need and buy the ones i do.
Highest TT i was in was 3-1 not 1-10 -

Omg the complete opposite happens to me.

As a wizard I just gave up on TT runs since when you do go your the one who will ALWAYS and i say ALWAYS get the last pick doesnt matter if your in a faction run friends run or even a run u started and subbed on your own..
Even when you are in a faction that helps alot of ppl and try to gear them no matter how many times you ask and for how long the rules are always the same
Cleric>Veno>Wizard when it comes to weapons and Barbs>Clerics>Venos>BMs>Archers>Wizards when it comes to armor...
lets just say am lvl 81 with lvl 66 boots.........do what I did buy your stuff its the only way to get anything done right espicially when you are a wiz.
Note: Arent DDs suppose to have the most important jop in game they save you some time and thus they save you some time in your life thus they save your life :PIs Back once more.
sorry med school needs some time.0 -
That would be because BMs suck ..Sir My advise hum roll a more respectable class then u will deserve something.
Haven't been on a TT run yet. But at Bh squads, I usually save the party of getting wiped cos bad lures or when barbs don't pull all the agro.
Thankfully, I don't care that much if I get killed when I AoE mobs, if at least my sacrifice saves the party.
On topic, as I said, haven't been on one yet. But when I do, I'll don't care f I'm the last one who gets pick, if at least I can pay repair/pots costs and have coins to save and buy at AH my own TT mats.Building one...
P.S. for posts: Sorry for my bad english... >.<0 -
okay suckish ppl they wouldn't need all 4 clerics to heal. This is how our modifide drop order goes when we TT run in faction.
Healer (asking our tanks healer wast most of their charm/pots)
Tank (the pots and charm wasted)
DD
It goes after lvl of cuz and here is the last modification. Our veno (me) goes last cuz i got no cost except food for the lost loyalty i might need to get back, but ususally its only food in general ... which i don't use much of when running TT.
Also once we had one of our lvl6x clerics with us but since he said he had 30k cost and i asked our other cleric is that alot? and got a no he went as a DD ... also our 2nd barb (even though he tanked some of the way) got placed DD. After all the order of drop picking comes form the costs.
Some venos might have costs so the venos last thingy only goes when thats me (and others if agreeing) not that it does the big difference.Dreamsweavers GhostDogz are looking for you to join the pack . We are still small but are growing into a fun, friendly and helpful fact. We value that our lower lvls also get the experience they need for their class, so we get some awsome ppl . all we ask of u is to be okay active (not has to be on 7days a week, 1 is enough) and to bring ur good mood =3 cya ingame!

This is exactly what a BM is supposed to do in most instance situations. BMs should support and assist the barb tank to ensure that the rest of the squad on the rear end of the field are protected. They should draw as much aggro as they can unto the melee line so that the clerics are alive and free to pick them up off the ground, should they fall. Even when an archer steals aggro from a wayward mob, we need to intercept it. Us melees should be able to take the punishment. That would be because BMs suck ..Sir My advise hum roll a more respectable class then u will deserve something.
Granted, some BMs do suck, but the class surely doesn't suck when you need to make parties for the later TTs. And it surely helps to have a little bit of a wildcard in your squad in a clutch moment.0 -

A veno playing properly does.
Bramble, sparks, nukes, pet damage, amp, sd (sage), ae seals, freezes to stop kiting mobs, stuns, physical debuffs, slow when someone pulls aggro and runs around like an idiot, pet tanking, lures if necessary, myriad, ae myriad, purge some mobs, oh... and a backup tank (even the arcane ones).
That's quite a lot to be doing.0 -
