2 questions - Amp + Kowlin

Yes, two completely unrelated questions.

1) I heard that if you use amplify in HH's you decrease the drop rate. Is this true? Are there any other things that might decrease drop rate?

2) I don't particularly want to pay much for a kowlin, where can I tame one? Are there better DDing pets?

Thanks in advance.

    Oh okay. I wonder why that veno said that then lmao. I assume you mean HH bosses, not the mobs?

    Amp damage reduces drops? Simple, get the cleric to pop a 'big kid head' pill to counteract that.

    Seriously - what? Hell no. Amp away. 20% extra damage is pretty much your main thing. Do it.

    The kowlin is great - but the reason it's expensive is that it's a rare pet on a 12hour spawn timer. Check it just south of the arrival point in kings-feast.

    Are there better pets? The scorpion is pretty good for damage.

    If you simply want a free DD land pet, the level 2 scorpion is the best you can get, followed by the level 17/18 magmites. The kowlin has pretty good damage too, but most people get it because it looks good, is fast, and comes with both Pierce and Howl debuffs.

    There are a lot of superstitions that people come up with to try to explain patterns they think they see in random occurrences.

    Marksmans can make good DD pets when they can sit out of SR AoE freeing you up from healing. If you're going to get a squishy DD pet, may as well be a Scorpion as mentioned. I failed to find a purpose for my Kowlin, so I sold it. They do come with a nice set of skills though.

    People think weird things because of patterns they see. I've never heard the amp one before, but I've seen squads where people aren't allowed to use blessings because they decrease drop rates, I've seen ones where they try without barbs or venos even because they're convinced big head, pumpkin head, and so on increase drop rates (and barbs/venos can't use those). It doesn't do anything to drop rates.

    2- kowlin can be easily replace by lv 89 cactopod or lv 80 armored bear or any other 10 meters range pet
    genesis (r.i.p.) ===> conqueror (r.i.p.) ===> zen (r.i.p.) ===> iam (r.i.p.) ===> guardianz (r.i.p.) ===> spectral ===> essence
