needs opinion on seeking help

I (a BM) was doing my fb with a veno friend the same lvl as me... she (the veno) had been successful in soloing the first boss so we decided to try solo the whole fb. We did well and solo'ed the whole fb up to the last boss. We failed to kill the last boss therefore went to seek out help from barbs and clerics... given that i still have my full set of tabs, we tried asking our faction mates... met by absolute silence in fac chat. possibly because:

1) we were the highest lvl in that fac so there wasn't any other fac mates qualified to get exp from our tabs (closest lvl clerics and barbs were like 3-4 lvls away)
2) they were too busy with their own activities

so i set out to call my buddies from another faction for help and we redid the whole instance with my set of tabs. The next day, our faction mates somehow found out that we did our fb's with outside help... they got furious at us and started give us all sorts of lectures...

things like:
1) cant we wait til few more fac mates get there (most of them are 3-4 lvls away from us... and some of them take like 1-2 months to lvl up once)
b:lipcurl
2)scolded us for doing our fb's with outside help (they never even said a word when we asked)

would kindly ask for everyone's opinion... is it really wrong to ask for help outside faction when cant find help from there... was i wrong in not waiting for other faction mates when they are like so far away in terms of lvl?
would like to hear some input to this case, cause its really starting to bother me b:sweat

not at all, your FB your call, it's the simple really. I took a lvl 97(at the time) from calamity on my 59. faction leader knew what was up and exactly why I did it, nothing was said, my 59 was done, all was right with the world.

You did nothing wrong. You called out to your faction, and they didn't respond, it was their own fault. That's all there really is to it ^^.

Its absolutely ridiculous that the Faction got angry. From the inactivety you've talked about, I'd say it wasn't a huge faction, so there's no reason to expect themto do all your Fbs, why should you not be allowed to have outside help?
Personally, I'd prefer a squad of my Faction mates, but that's because I know their abilites, and I trust them to do the job.

Hey bro' check this, I'm at level 34 and being asked by my 60 level faction mates to help them in BH 29 and in some of their quests of kill 60 level 60 near Tusk. U would be best to leave that **** Faction and come to one that helps regardless of "if they get exp"! Do u know how much exp I was getting in the quests to kill level 60's? .1 Pretty bad if I'm trying to level huh? However, the faction I'm in would jump at the chance to help me, on my levels. Ppl. in my faction help regardless of how much Exp they get. A faction is a Team effort, anything else is ****. Don't believe me, check ur T.W. map and look at what those guys are doing for each other!

an FB is a small thing really. So I wouldn't worry about it. Normally I would say "you pay your own subscription fee for your account so do what you want with it" but that phrase doesn't apply here. But I am sure you get the point. :-)

I absolutely Agree w/ Nastassiya. Being level 34, Can't doesn't work for me either. Ur level # mostly means nothing "IF" u play as a team. Just leave ur faction and ask in Forum advice on who u may join! There r great Factions in all Servers, and as u r finding out, some Lowsy ones.

being a wizi i solo most things myself except for bosses and fb/bh runs and at least 60% of the time i get outside help from random people. Bai_Qi is like me i helped faction members do there fb69 20/20/20 and i was barely getting any exp but i went because im a DD (not very helpful still being lvl 41 in fb69) but i went any way and because i was there they finished alittle faster then they would without me.

if i was you i would leave that faction and go to one alittle more friendly if they are going to do that **** when they wouldnt help in the first place

IMO, a level 60 asking help from a lvl 34 on lvl 60s mobs is just..failz.

I can understand if the mobs in question are elites or bosses (like Aerox gouf, Jewel etc). In my life of 3 characters, I have never experienced a need to call out lvl 34s to assist me in my mobs killing.

On the FB thingy, some factions wanted the EXP and REP to be kept within the guild. But since they did not explicitly notify you on that, it is not your fault.

Besides, a courtesy call has been given but they were to engaged to respond to you. It's not your 'vault' b:laugh

Btw I helped kill Gouf today so thx on that one, and the faction allows me to run w/ them when doing high level mobs. I have been running w/ a level 60 cleric for two days doing her quests in Tusk area, so if ur not up to the challenge of "Trying to help", then GL on ur quests. Otherwise, look me up when ur on and join the squad I play in to see for urself. Today 3:30pm CST come see if u think its failz! Heck maybe u might want to join our Faction! hahaha

there is nothing "fail" about it. i think u just need to really grow up and realize that just because a higher lvl has a lower lvl in his squad dont mean he needs help. this is an MMO and its a social game. as i said in my last post iv soloed everything other then runs and bosses yet if a lvl 30 wants to come squad with me im not going to reject them and say no because im a friendly person and i like being around people. just remember squads arnt just for helping its to be social as well

A many of times I let lower level faction mates join my squad when doing FB's. There isn't anything wrong with that. If I do ever choose to do an actual quest normally I won't take them along with me. For once it renders the mob exp to near non-existent which defeats half the purpose of even killing them and also I have to keep an eye on them. Their life really is in my hands. They can't tank the mobs I kill and really, being an arcane veno, I can't either. I have a herc that does that for me.

When I do TT well... it's asking for them to die!! b:cry

Again I agree w/ you, It is mostly for a social, but since I'm usually the only tank in the group, I'm smart w/ it. I do not take lead, but will be in in a mobs face as the others attack from a distance. Does the mob pay attention to me, usually NO. But as I found out today against those chicks on the hill S. of Tusk level 61, If my friend(The Lvl. 60 Cleric) wasnt there, I would be toast! Hahaha But yes, I didnt think I was even helping against Gouf Today, but man what fun to see him drop!

well the leader of the faction is a really good person, he was trying to reason with the faction mates when it happened... but unfortunately none of them did listen to him.
They continued to accuse how we had not help much (false and off topic)... we had always helped the lower lvls that they chose not to help cause they could not gain anything out of it... Had been helping out and it just so happened that the time i go on, those who accuse were offline... plus the fact that i dont like attention therefore would PM the people who had asked for help in faction chat. really dont want be anyone's hero b:bye

i think they should not judge us when they dont see the whole picture lol


In the end, 2 clerics who had always wanted to be "wanted" (the ones making accusations) stepped out of their positions and left the faction...

all this because of my fb, thinking back... it really is not worth it for all these trouble b:sweat

depends on the class too, I can handle 2-1 (85 or so elites) right now, handled 1-3 (low 70 elites) (minus soul banisher) at 54, so your statement isn't entirely true.

But I will say again, come join us later today. Its mostly for fun and u can die quick if ur not smart, but well worth it. I still can't do the entire Den or Fircrag alone, but so much fun to play and "try". I see it as a challenge and a game, not a job!

Thats what I was saying, I get .1% Exp on each kill of a level 60. But it's the challenge of it I like. And usually when I attack first, they hit me, then move to the higher level character as I'm nobody to a high level mob, so it gives me free swing on it, Hahaha. and OMG if any of u charge the Gang Leaders in the little area just S. of Tusk Whew, bring some friends. Hahaha

i love soloing the fb19s its so much fun xD im just glad will of the phoenix knock back skill works on fb19 bosses other wise i would be screwed
