OHT items worth it or not ?

So I finally gained entry to OHT and looked at the forges.. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think they were all 2 star items, and I wonder if it's worth trying to make something good. Can it be better than TT90 or Legendary items ?

    Occassionally, you can get very lucky. This bow has the equivalent damage output as TT90 Dragonbow w/ 2 sockets, but also adds +225 HP.

    It's possible. Sometimes you can get OHT with exceptional bonuses that will make it more useful that their legendary counterparts. For example, -Req bonuses on HA or LA would be useful for certain builds, Zerk on an OHT axe would be cheaper than hatchets, multiple +HP bonuses on a helmet or multiple +phys res bonuses on arcane would be preferable to legendary options.

    Only problem is it's random, so the chances of forging anything outstanding are rather slim.

    There is also a chance that what you forge will be a 3 star or gold piece.

    Like all tailoring/blacksmith items it all down to luck what adds you get.

    Made myself a Gleaming Windfall Poleblade with zerk on the first try, but everything else I've made has just had basic adds.

    As others have said, it's like a lottery. Maybe you're lucky enough to get great additionals, maybe you get only useless ones.

    By the way, I'm after heavy armoury and magic swords with -% requeriments xD

    Personally more into the decomped OHT gear for perfect stones for genie fuel and to make apothecary charms

    But stuff normally just comes out ****, and I decomp to Perfect Stones. It's nice to have a full genie and flying mount all the time.

    Most stuff I make I just decompose at this point. I've found I have trouble selling items for something I would consider worthwhile. A ring for example is 83 perfect stones, if I were to AH that I would expect a minimum of 176315 to cover what it's worth in perfect stones (2k/stone, 5% fee, listing fee). For me to end up listing it, I would actually want 250k or so, as listing it takes the place of something else I can list. Unless it has -% channeling, a ring/neck/belt is unlikely to sell in my experience. I've been trying to sell a belt with 5 resists and 15 vit for 250k for 3 weeks (I just stopped listing it, I may decompose it instead), and a magic ring with 8 vit, 6 magic, 30? magic attack for 250k for 1 week. That one may find itself decomposed really soon.

    The best part of that too is, that type of cost is pretty low considering what mats sell for, on DW a ring is 9x20k for leafs, 90k from material (going by the market rate, which is mostly set by me since I'm currently a very large supplier of the stuff currently), and about 6500 for the scupltures/luminostones. Meaning 265k just for items. Oh well.

    look here for a screenshot. the OHT magic sword is Solar Enlightenment. Although it won't glow yellow unless you get lucky and make a legendary grade sword. if just 1 star or 2 star it has the base blue glow to it. still looks very nice

    you can look up OHT weapons available to other classes too
