lvl83+ mob drops?

Since I hit level 80 I've been noticing that mob drops are becoming a rare thing. I'm not a big CS user, so to get coins for the things I want/need, I have been grinding, running TT, etc. Lately I have been trying out all sorts of mobs and not finding any that seem to have even a fairly decent drop rate (for DQ and sale-able items to make coin).
I know the normal answer to, "How can I make some coin" is to say, "Run some TT". I do this often enough that I have nightmares about the place b:shocked Most of the time I prefer to just go grind for a few hours.
Maybe some of you 85+ players out there can point me in the direction of a good mob for drops (if there are any).

    I've personally been grinding on ? mobs in OHT for about 5 levels now. Their drop rates aren't exceptionally better than those outside of OHT, but given how quickly they die, it seems nicer... to me, anyways. Not to mention that coin drops are usually larger as well, and the exp is slightly better too. If you have a nix, you're even more set lol. Any pet should work, though.

    Same here, OHT mobs. Drops are meh but if you have a nix they go down silly fast.

    About 250-350k/h.

    I like the level 96 poison spiders up north, they have a nice drop rate and as a bonus they drop glaze, which you need to make level 5 and 6 gear or you can sell for nice coin.
    Too often we loose sight of life's simple pleasures. Remember, when someone annoys you, it takes 42 muscles in your face to frown, BUT, it only takes 4 muscles to extend your arm and slap that mother#$@%#^! upside the head.

    The higher the level you get, the lower the drop rate of all monsters. This counter-balances the fact that the drops are worth much more as you level.

    Gave the OHT mobs a try today and like how fast they die... especially the array guards. Certainly better than mobs up around 1K Streams. Thanks for that tip!

    @ IceJazmin - I'll have to give those a try (I do indeed need glaze... finishing the lvl6 tailor Q is being a beast b:surrender). Been herc-grinding the lvl 89 spiders near Intrepid for the glaze... they aren't very good for it though.

    @ Zoe - You are right, the fewer drops are certainly more valuable so it does even out somewhat as compared to the nice drop rates in the lvl 70's. Since higher levels = more expensive gear, items, repair costs, etc, well, I guess I got my hopes up too much (or maybe I just got spoiled in the 70's b:chuckle).

    at this level i think i was mixing my grind time between oht and cold seed mobs
