Thinking of coming back on Dec. 16...

Hi, I used to play PWI a long time ago after OB and quit due to work. I only got up to the level 3Xish range. I believe I still have all my money, materials, items in my bank but I haven't d/l PWI yet.

The new update with Tideborn highly interests me and would love to play on a new server, but since no such thing will happen, I was thinking of playing on Sanctuary since I don't like PvP and I'm located on the west coast (which is why I don't play on Dreamweaver).

How is the current community's attitude towards noobs? Judging from this server's forums, it doesn't seem to be that active besides that 172 page Battle Front thingy. I'm guessing people judge focus on that pvp stuff and active on their guild forum? Just trying to see if Sanctuary would be a welcoming home for my gaming needs.

    It will be like it always is: Some will be nice, some will cover you with outrageous insults and the rest does not care enough to show a reaction.

    lots of people will be rerolling their char for the new classes. So you will just be part of a huge "noob" wave ^^

    Do NOT play in sanctuary. You shouldn't give up on a new server just yet because there will be one. Every time a gm answers they say there will be a new server when it is needed and unless pw is going straight downhill from here (if that was the case you shouldn't want to re role anyway) they will add a new server probably some time early next year. Hopefully the expansion will bring in a lot of noobies but there is no guarantee thus being the reason of there not being a new server upon the launch of the expansion.

    The reason you shouldn't play on sanctuary should be fairly obvious if you look at the TW maps or go to west arch and see how one sided pk is. I know you say you don't like pvp so if you are just wanting to play every once in awhile and join a small carebear faction then maybe sanctuary wouldn't be so bad. But I would imagine even someone like yourself would like to participate in TWs or pvp skirmishes and you will not find the chance to enjoy those in sanctuary. Take it from a guy who played over a year and rage quit :P. Although it wasn't so hard quitting because pw got so dull and pointless even though I was leaving what few friends I had left.

    Thanks for the feedback. Although I don't like PvP, it would be fun to do some of that intense pvp stuff but if there's no chance at competing against the big wigs of this server then b:cryb:cry (reason why I don't roll a noob on my current MMORPG because I don't have the funds or level to compete with others).

    Maybe I will take your advice and wait for a new server. We'll see b:thanks

    there won't be a new server, mainly cuz there is no need for one. HT and Sanc may be full, but HL and DW are far from full. new expansion may bring in some new faces, but really it won't be that much change from current population. so i wouldn't get my hopes up for a new server, just click one and play it.

    Lost city server owns all servers now.
    PKing is fun even on a lvl 33 full arcane wizard.

    You shoudnt wait for a new server, people think that if a new server comes they will be able to be the highest level in that server, but there is some people that play 24/7 and 2 weeks later, you will be level 50, while others will be level 100 again, just pointless untill the other servers get full.

    It is a shame but the truth is trying to start over without spending any money would require a lot of time and straight up questing and grinding during that time and even when you get to level 70 you will still be severely underleveled. Once you get to 70 you will have to start doing Rebirths if you want to level more often than twice a month.

    Even though I'm sure anni packs will make its way to a new server the one solution to stay competitive with heavy cash shoppers is to find a group of friends to run TTs everyday so you can buy event stuffs without emptying your already empty wallet in real life xD

    If a new server never comes then just not playing pw at all would be better than trying to play in sanctuary unless you just wanna pve all the time. Although it would be less difficult to start over on DW or HL.
