Taming Pets

I was recently wanting a Torgirn Prime but having someone else do the taming. Because I couldnt and it couldnt be done, I guess it's too stubborn? lol. What level do you have to be to tame a rare pet or one of these larger beasts. I have my taming at level 5, does it need to be higher? I'm new to this one.

    You have to be a higher level than the pet you are trying to tame - as far as rare pets go, you can start trying to tame them once you are at the right level but good luck beating the high level venos who farm the spawns :p

    You need to be the same or higher lvl than the mob and you need to weaken it by dropping his hp.

    Rayder, Sharptooth Wolfling: main pet
    Lyro, Guardian Wolf: magic tank, dder
    Kowlin: lurer
    Flameche, Blazing Pheonix
    BigBro, Crystalline Magmite: tanker (Yes i finally have a magmite, my bro gave me his cause he got a Walker b:surrender )

    iirc, you cant tame the torgirn prime, only the torgirn brave.

    The pet I saw a Veno with was a very large version of my Magmite but I dont know what it was. I'll look around more. I'm also not looking too farm pets. :D But actually just have one for myself. ^..^

    It could be the valorian - found inside FB59.

    There's also some frost giants up in the far north, but those are level 90+

    You can't use a pet whose level is beyond yours. So getting someone else to tame it and give you the egg won't help you.

    As still being a noob I didnt realize the difference in levels and taming. Although the pet, is the Torgirn Sentry. Trying to tame one is a prob, seems to be a high PK area.

    Correct and this also include the puppets.The primes can not be tamed.

    Look for the little icon beside the name... if it's Red, it's tameable but out of your level. If it's Yellow/Green, it's tameable. If there's a big evil silver skull or nothing at all, you can't tame it.

    And reducing a monster's HP will improve your chances of taming.
