Character biographies.

I do have to say that I have absolutely no idea if someone already posted about this, I have looked quickly around the several pages without noticing any thread about this.

Well it is quite simple, I thought when I was into the game, while looking at the world chat (wich is way too crowded with pointless messages) that much persons were posting stuff such as "Looking for an husband/wife" etc...

Biographies would help with that kind of 'problem', we could simply write down in a in-game biography some stuff about our character, such as looking for a partner or its personality, its story...Etc.

What you are talking about here is RPing, which is minority in PWI.

I do understand that RP is a minority of PW, and I like it, doesn't mean bios would take it down, instead, it would spice it up.
But I've seen some begging for partners in the world chat or even some faction chat.

Anyways, bios wouldn't solve this problem, cause alot of persons wouldn't even take the time to fill 'em out.

Thought, it would be a rather easy feature to add, and alot I'm sure would make a good use of it.

I love game fluff too.

i have a question... whats the big deal about beibg married in this game? on flyff coupples could actavate buffs that would let both players get status bonus (more helth def atk ect ect) as long as they wer logged in together these buffs wer perm till one logged out. this ofcourse led to playersrunning like 12 difrent accounts (not chars, there would be 7-12 acounts with 3 chars each siting around in citys wile the main was off questing with the buffs) lag got so bad in citys that had verry few people in it was so choked with lag that you had to change server chanels or risk getting lag humped by every agro monster in the contanent. and more often then not the other chanels wer not mutch better but you could move.so what im trying to ask (sorry i keep rambleing off) is that true here too? do coupples get bonus stuff for being a coupple? if not then quite frankly i dont see the purpose other then to use it as fluff your your own personal story of your char.

Yes for sure. We get beautiful white names above our heads. Also the best thing ever, WC drama when a bad divorce goes through. b:chuckle

But i guess with the upcoming expansion we do get something however. Another daily quest. Of course the couples daily quest is just another way to make money to get people to buy marriage packs for the extra exp.

Other then that we get a whole load of hearts on WC b:spit

marrige isnt important to gameplay, its use is to just make a profit as u said.
u ever notice how no one sells wedding packs in game, people have to end up using rl cash to buy gold and get packs, and each marrige = 60 dollars. i myself wanted to get married but couldnt afford to buy gold in game and get packs, and im trying not to use rl cash for gold

i also lol'd when i saw your comment about divorce, but unfortunately not much wc drama has come from divorces on the sanctuary server b:cry

i dont think a character bio is a good idea though

no one will bother to look at it, also ppl wil be tempted to put personal information into it, which i believe is a bad thing. i think game life and rl should be kept seperate. also bios can be used for anything, and alot of randomness can come from it.

also for the ppl who just spam post, looking for a bf or gf shouldnt be playing the game, there are plenty of dating based online games which they can use instead of a combat based game

I don't think it's a bad idea, but I don't honestly see this cutting down on the spam in WC. I would certainly use this feature as it could help other players realize what language I speak or what sort of player I am.

A similiar feature is implemented in Jade Dynasty as far as I know (just with IRL infos I think) , and yes it would be kinda funny to write down a char bio.
