Connection Issue {Firewall?}

Ok so I'm a complete noob at this kind of stuff and I'm hoping you guys can help.

I recently (just a few hours ago) removed a FakeAlert trojan from my computer with AVG. Before I installed AVG I had McAfee which has been uninstalled now lol. Anyway, since the scan finished and I rebooted my computer, I tired to log on PWI and got this.

The same thing is going on with AIM (if you guys know anything about that xD That would be a lot of help, lmao)

BUT I can log on MSN without any trouble at all.

When I click start however it takes me to the main page which doesn't show the usual greeting and when I try to log on, I cannot connect to the server. My first thought was maybe it's my firewalls since you know, I have a new virus protection up, well I checked it;

I tried reinstalling AIM and it didn't work, I did that instead of PWI because it takes a while for it to install {Vista, lol -_-}

Can anyone give me a hand here? I'm not sure what happened, lol. I'm pretty sure the virus is gone now, and I'd rather play on my desktop instead of my laptop now that it's virus clear. ): Thanks for any help <3 If you need more than that to help I'll gladly give it. c: I wanna enjoy PWI xD!

    Bleh, well the error can't bee seen anymore but I can't connect to the server still. It's something with AVG's Firewall but I don't know how to allow it? Shall I just set the firewall to "allow all"? Though I feel that might pose a problem? lol, I'm not sure. Q.Q

    LOL There's this lovely button down there that says "Enable Gaming Mode"....
    That is a wonderful button.
    xD I can connect now. Someone can delete this or if someone wants to use it as a reference in the future, you may share my noobie stupidness 8D! *goes and hides in corner*
