Mailing System Improvement

Although I havent been affected by this small problem yet, it would be good to have something for it in order to minimize accidents

What I am suggesting here is that when you try to send the mail, a small confirmation box must appear asking if the name is correct. Once the players confirm it as Yes, only then the mail should be sent.

Also, I am not sure if this is already there, but if the character to whom youre sending the mail to does not exist, maybe a message stating invalid recipient/user could be displayed to the sender so that they can verify the name theyre typed.

This is not a real problem for people who take care while typing in the name but would be useful to all those who are less careful or mailing something in a hurry.

    Honestly, I don't see that helping much, if at all - no-one would pay attention to the confirmation window, it'd just be a nuisance to click away.

    What would be better is an easy way to send mail to someone without even typing the name - I'm thinking right-click on their name (from chat window/faction list/friend list) and there'd be a 'Mail to' option - don't even have to be at a mailbox.

    The only one that really misses is mailing something to an alt (something I do a lot of ...). But Tideborn mentions an 'Account Stash System', which I'm guessing/hoping will deal with that.

    I see what u mean about the first part.. but that mainly only addz hassle.

    The second part iz already there, it'll say invalid recipient or something like that.. believe me

    Well the whole point of the confirmation window is to force the player to look at it one more time <.< which is why its a hassle in the first place. Its designed to be a hassle.

    But yea even the right click and mail to option would be nice but then the post box wouldnt have much of a use.

    You can always right click the name, choose copy name, and paste that into the recipient box as well.
