    Get over it...

    If you want cheap, buy pre-made. If you want your name, than spend money on orbs.
    Too often we loose sight of life's simple pleasures. Remember, when someone annoys you, it takes 42 muscles in your face to frown, BUT, it only takes 4 muscles to extend your arm and slap that mother#$@%#^! upside the head.

    This dragon orb sale is crazy cheap, and you all should take full advantage of it.

    My calculations are based on 18 silver per 1 star orb and 75 gold for 10 star orb; which is the sale going on right now.

    *TIP* Don't buy the dragon orb pack containing the 1,2,3,4, and 5 orbs for 20 gold. If you buy the 1 stars by itself, it is 2 gold cheaper as you can see:


    +1 to +5 Orb = 100 x 1 star Orbs = 18 gold (normal price is 27 gold)

    +6 star Orb = 130 x 1 star Orbs = 23.4 gold (normal price is 35.1 gold)

    +7 star Orb = 215 x 1 star Orbs = 38.7 gold (normal price is 58.05 gold)

    +8 star Orb = 405 x 1 star Orbs = 72.9 gold (normal price is 109.35 gold)



    +9 orb is 75 gold. (normal price is 202.5 gold)
    Use a +10 orb to +9 your stuff from +8.

    12 mirages at 20k each = 240,000 coins for +12 armor refine!!!
    or 24 mirages at 20k each = 480,000 coins for a +12 weapon!

    Best time to refine is 4am-9am server time (PST).

    2 mirages, +2. For all of my ornaments.

    Wait so... if you fail to refine using only mirages, what happens?
    A. You lose the current refinement level and the item stays the same.
    B. You lose the current refinement level, and the bonus stats on the item (the +stats in blue)
    C. You lose the item

    Which is it?

    If you fail to refine, the item drops to a completely unmodified item. So if you had a +4 weapon, it loses its +4 bonus completely. The only way to avoid this is with Dragon Orbs or Tisha stones, the latter means it only drops by 1 level instead.

    Dragon orbs become EXTREMELY expenive though. And I mean unreasonably so. Simply getting to a +5 item will require at least 30 gold unless you're lucky enough to find someone selling the orbs in-game. There are even higher level dragon orbs too, but these require another massive investment to obtain as you need orbs of the previous levels in order to make it. So much so, I'd wager getting to a level 12 orb would cost almost a thousand gold.

    If you spot anyone with a +12 item, they're either extremely wealthy or extremely lucky.

    Wizzeled on Sanctuary has +12 weapon and +10 rest of his gear. Also, all of his items are socketed with +10 vitality stones and his weapon has a Drakeflamestone and a Garnet Gem.

    And really, there are charts for the exact costs for refining, so you don't really need to make guesses on it.
