Random no damage attacks ?

Very often I get hit by earth , metal, and other sorts of magic attacks which do no damage. They usually happen at a certain area and I wonder what the reason for this is b:puzzled And yes, this happened too many times and I'm not blind, there is no damage !

    It's a game glitch, and I don't know why it happens, but I know how it happens.

    If Player A is at one location, and Player B is at the edge of their map, when they fight magic mobs, those spells will occasionally look like it's hitting you, Player A. As mentioned they do no damage at all, and despite not knowing why if I were to throw out some guess it's probably the client's messed up way of handling packets dealing with magic strikes relating to being on/off someone's map or at the edge of it.

    You are missing the point, the low level mobs still hit me for like 1-2 dmg haven't tried it lately. But how do you explain a metal attack in an area with only wood mobs ? Or I forgot to mention this, getting an earth attack with no mob around ?

    For example: Do you mean your grinding and all of the sudden you are hit by a random attack from nowhere even though the mob you're fighting is not hitting you?

    I seem to have problems with "getting hit" randomly for a few moments then the attacks stop. Even though I am not taking hits by the mobs I am grinding. I can stop fighting and the attacks continue. The latest occurrence of this for me was in the swamp. I was engaging Alucard minions and momentarily it seemed I was being hit by the wretched Hydrolace mobs. The animation appeared on my char as if I was taking hits even though I was not losing hp and those mobs where not anywhere near me. This happens to me daily at random from various mobs. In the future I can probably capture footage of this although I feel it wouldn't matter or get fixed of course.

    That's easy to explain. It's basically a form of lag. The time it takes to send information back and forth between your client and the server doesn't exactly match the speed that you see it all happen on your screen.

    Hello and sorry, I do not believe that is the problem or that perhaps you understand the extent of my problem. I do not believe that is not the case. This is not a graphical lag problem and it is not a server lag or network lag issue. The only time I lag is when there is a blatantly known server issue affecting mass players. I do not experience network network related lag while playing PWI.

    This is not the same as network or graphical lag which I am qualified to identify both. While disagree I appreciate your feedback and insight.

    me noticed it with poison, fire, and metal mobs.

    heck sometimes even other people using genies makes it look like me get hit by it lols.

    it's not lag or anything like that. it be a game glitch.

    I have the experienced that many times as well.

    I have noticed that this happens more frequently when I am on the ground fighting phys mobs and there are mag mobs above me in the air someone is fighting. One place this happens a lot is at Stairway to heaven where you fight the magmite/trees/densmorth tuska somthings/adawolfs. Right above that are the flying dragon looking things that are Mag based (lightning type attacks).

    Sorry not in game atm to get the proper names for these things and I am pretty lit so can't remember them offhand.

    i have faced this problem too. I mainly see this while flying. Suddenly i will be attacked by something ( usually the wood attack tht is not DOT ) and i turn around nothing. I will someone grinding on some mobs nearby. It appears to be a harmless glitch and like the thousand others we just have to learn to live with it.

    I had that problem when i was lvl70, i was grinding on alucards in swamp and sometimes strange lightning was appearing above my head.

    I never got hit by lightning. I saw the hydrolace water attack skill.
